Their bones and muscles are fucked up after so much time in zero gravity. It doesn't take very long for that to happen either, it happens even with normal assignments. If they tried walking right now their knees and ankles would turn to paste. Even if their bones/muscles were good for it, their equilibrium certainly isn't and their inner ears are also going to need time to adjust.
