The other guy forgot to mention that in the U.S.S. Liberty incident, the Israelis refused to respond to radio communications, and attempted to machine-gun the life rafts with survivors on them.
Also, the apology was an attempt to play it off as an accident when it was clearly a failed false flag intended to convince America to go to war against Arabs on behalf of Israel.
Israel actually has a track record of attempting false-flags and pretending they were accidents/didn't happen when they got found out- look up the Lavon Affair.
