Deals take two people. We don't know the details of the negotiation but some people like Legal Mindset have said it looked like Destiny might have been lowballing too much and not negotiating seriously.

Legal Mindset also said normally it's the defendants like Destiny in these situations that settle things early. This requires the defendant to actually get a lawyer to negotiate an NDA and settlement. We know for a long time Steven was just using people like NSE to try to do that on the cheap. Multiple lawtubers believe Destiny is acting like he still doesn't have actual legal representation. Destiny has previously said on stream in multiple unrelated situations that he's smarter than lawyers.

Not that we should take lawtuber opinions as a fact, however it is very plausible that Destiny still does not have a lawyer with an interest in negotiating a pre trial settlement which is really required for Pxie to have the option of settling.

Whether or not Pxie is retarded doesn't mean that at any point Destiny was ever willing to give her even "300k" as you stated to resolve this situation.
