it would be one thing if having these degrees gave you some amazing job like it probably did 30 years ago, but they usually don't, or if they do its literally a 5 dollar an hour boost compared to the jobs you could have had. so you paid 100k for 10k boost in pay if you're lucky and most jobs i've seen straight up don't check if you have a degree or the work history you list. the job requirements go up but the pay doesn't and the output doesn't either. They also don't check for quality either and most universities are where high schools are at where they grade based on race and any non-white can openly cheat their way to Cum Laude and you have open book tests for courses and there are some schools where you don't even have to know math to get an engineering degree.
