Ha, funny name. Fun fact about this one is that its name in other languages is sun's-bride, bride of the sun, or sunbride.sneezeweed
The bunnies may have been getting up on the pots for a closer sniff and inspection of the tree's bark. I have a real problem with them gnawing the bark off my new and young fruit trees.I planted a young, deciduous tree in the yard a year or so ago. It looked really sad when its leaves shed, so I gathered about a dozen potted plants to encircle it (mostly desert roses.)
The littler pots were getting knocked over, and eventually I took a close look and discovered why: rabbits are pooping in the pots. The plants and young tree are completely unharmed so they're not getting on the pots to reach anything. I don't think the rabbits would want to climb up to scout out the area since there are lots of predatory birds here.
Is there some evolutionary advantage to pooping in pots that I've missed?
That's a Kalanchoe blossfeldiana that looks really happy for being indoors! They do love strong light.Im pleased to report that my potted plant is doing a lot better this winter after I invested in the cheapest possible grow light for it.
I’m not sure what kind of plant it is. It had small blue flowers when I received it but it hasn’t flowered again.
i wish modern botanists would go ahead and rename all these plants with dogshit common names given by settlers from the 1700's*, because no one uses helenium leaves like snuff anymore and now it just makes people assume it's an icky weed that makes a lot of pollen.Ha, funny name. Fun fact about this one is that its name in other languages is sun's-bride, bride of the sun, or sunbride.
Mints are usually ahead of us on that one, but I'm sure they'll appreciate a hand.I plan to propagate my mints like crazy
mint, willow, succulents, and pothos are probably the easiest plants to propagate. they're so easy that i've successfully done it with nearly all four except for willow, and that's only because i haven't tried yet.Mints are usually ahead of us on that one, but I'm sure they'll appreciate a hand.
Oh, I know. I popped some mint cuttings in water in some shot glasses and put them in a sunny window. They root in like a week. I need to plant them soon.Mints are usually ahead of us on that one, but I'm sure they'll appreciate a hand.
