Hardcore History is one of the most self-indulgent things I've ever heard. Carlin basically spends 12 hours rambling about every single primary source document he wants to talk about. He does find some cool primary source documents, but holy shit, get an editor. Carlin also spends way too much time talking about gore and torture. A lot of history is really banal and boring. Without diving into the mundane stuff, you do not get a full picture of a given subject. Carlin also presents a story much more than he presents history and doesn't include stuff that disrupts or contradicts the story he wants to tell.
I enjoyed the “destroyer of worlds” episodes about nuclear weapons and warfare but couldn’t even listen to more than 30 minutes of any other episode. He talks too slow and doesn’t edit the gaps.

Added everything up, and it's more than the total population of the US.

Number on Social Security

I like the 1000 people who were already age 120 when the first social security number was ever issued.

Reality: There were errors in digitizing records and the college kids working on this haven't had to write leet code to handle bad data before. But nobody wants to hear the boring truth when there are politics to sperg out about.

Maybe but if it's also reality that the benefits are still paid out that's one of the most expensive mistakes in history.

It's also possible they just imported data without cleaning any of it up.

It's interesting how these "mistakes" never seem to benefit your common citizen or that ATMs don't ever make a mistake and gives me more money than it should.

This data seems misleading or at best incomplete since all the numbers together add up to the entire US population? It is apparently people who are just "eligible" for social security and not people who are actually signed on to it.
From what I read the data can probably only really be read properly with esoteric systems built on top of archaic database software and while I think its a noble goal for them to improve it and make it more transparent Elon has a habit of posting shit like this and not even doing cursory research. He should go figure out the actual recipients of social security and base it off of that.

Oy vey. I wonder how many of the 100+ category were jewish?

If Elon starts fucking around with SS money, the jews will actually hang him. Most jews around the world collect their dead relatives SS checks, so taking it away is gonna hit the kosher community like 66AD

If these were something like 50k people, hell even up to half a million SS numbers, I could buy it being mistakes and honest fuck ups.

But 50 MILLION extra SSNs than there are US citizens? Ten million people older than any human being ever? 100k people from before the Civil War still collecting checks?

Nah nigger this is fraud.
