I bought a ginger based syrup that was about the price of the fakes and tasted good, don’t know if it’ll kill me but it only seems to have one ingredient? RFK should worry less about sugar more about oils, costco ginger ale has brominated vegetable oil in it, why does it need to be there? Why can’t all the fast food places use peanut oil?

Maybe she's hoping for mercy from Trump? Not a bad strategy on Trumps part if that's the case. A snake will quickly turn into a rat if they think the shovel is coming for their neck if they don't get it pointed at another snake. Trump just needs to remember a snake is always a snake.

Unless they are eastern black snakes. Those guys are okay. They kill rattler and copperhead babies, as well as rats. And if you pick one up properly they will just hug your arm and make you look like a fucking bad ass.

I'd like to see the government review all current EBT vendors for shenanigans. I know there are food deserts where there's very little choice besides bodegas, but there is also a lot of fraud going on. Maybe limit EBT to stores that sell fresh food as well as processed garbage? Food deserts often have small meat markets, vegetable stands, and bakeries in them. Perhaps if they were allowed to become EBT vendors, they could carry a few more items other than just their specialty---AFTER they've been vetted.

Having worked at a large grocery chain during high school, my opinion is that the way to crack down on well fair abuse isn’t with the retailers but with the people themselves. EBT is the one place in government where we need MORE red tape and not less. Working that job made me small government racist conservative I am today. So many people would get their week’s groceries on EBT and then hand you 60 bucks cash for the 30 rack of Busch light and carton of Marlboro lights. And then they’d walk over to the customer service desk and buy 100 bucks in scratchers. And then drive off in an Escalade

After May 26th, Memorial Day the egg prices will begin to be effected by Trump's direct policies. Add a few weeks for Trump's cabinet picks to be confirmed and for Trump to fire the chicken genociders.

Juneteenth might possibly see improvements.

IDK man when I went last year it was mostly whites. I did go towards closing though if that means anything.

They have done such a great job of isolating themselves for years that they have no idea how anyone outside their bubble thinks.

Most people can't conceive how bad the isolation and purity spiralling has become. They all bullied each other off of X, and now on Bluesky they're going after people who have Substacks, because Substack is a "Nazi platform." And you can't question anything. Even asking simple clarifying questions is shouted down as "sealioning" or "JAQing off" [Just Asking Questions] or "asking questions in bad faith."

And when you're criticized you're not allowed to defend yourself or play it off as banter the way you might among normal people. The only option is to hang your head and grovel if you want to stay in the group. People see others getting bullied and don't want to lose their friend groups, so they just shut up and never question.

And then there's the IRL isolation. Right after the election I joined a Redditor discord in the hopes of finding some amusing salt (didn't stay long, it was mostly depressing rather than funny). The server had a whole fucking separate channel dedicated solely to "family estrangement," i.e., just telling each other to cut off "fascist" family members, working out the logistics, congratulating each other for doing it. And these weren't groomers aiming to isolate and target kids (groomers might have been present, obviously, but it was mostly an older crowd). It's just a mainstream Reddit/leftist thing now.

AFAIK he's not even accused of raping her or anything. He just... boinked her? So fucking what. It's unsightly, but I'm not willing to turn my back on DOGE and the Trump administration just because he had a bastard child. Others might want to die on that hill, but I won't - and I certainly don't think anyone on the right should tolerate being attacked from the right by the same people who think it's great when trannies groom children.

I don't know about ginger ale specifically but for orange soda the brominated vegetable oil is there to make sure the orange flavoring doesn't come out of solution and just end up floating on top, I presume it's something like that. There's gotta be alternatives though, unless orange soda/ginger ale just don't exist in the rest of the world since BVO is banned in a lot of places
