I do now see the error in my haste, Reeves is an anti-hero that can be in the end the one to look up to. However, tinys current downfall levels the field to a power hungry, vindictive rat, that shields himself behind false activism for the morally “right” outcome, while fucking radioactive cum jackets.
Ok now, hear me out. I did forget about this character, but this is truly who puke face tiny is in Final Fantasy 7.
You remember Rufus Shinra? Well, that’s our favourite carpet splitter.
Think about it, Rufus doesn’t believe in naive morality because he chose to believe that the system and the power within the system dictate outcomes, not idealism. This is very similar to how tiny has learned the desperate need to have control of his narrative especially in regards to his public perception.
In tandem Rufus controls Shinra’s image, shifting from brute-force tyranny to a more strategic and psychological form of domination. (Though I believe more successful than tiny if memory serves me)
Rufus doesn’t change fundamentally, but he does refine his tactics when forced to. He learned to work with the Turks, Avalanche, and even the Planet itself, but he never truly relinquished power. Ever.

He adapts only if the accurate factors are in place: 1. He is allowed control of the optics.
He will suffer at times, sacrificing his first knee jerk selfish desire, but this only occurs if the narrative works in his benefit even if not for the far distant future. He must be before regardless.
For Rufus, the narrative “I survived, and I will rebuild my empire” is more important than personal comfort. (Much like tiny’s bravado about his own childhood trauma.)
Rufus also doesn’t act out of moral obligation, he acts because he understands that winning means controlling the battlefield, not just surviving it.
And so, to me, Rufus is a corrupt reactionary using veiled tactics that make him look like calculated with choices that appear to have some merit, but really they are selfish endeavors to maintain self preservation and ensuring that the truth is reality: Destiny is 100% unlovable.
And it’s true buddy. You are 100% unlovable. Nicely done.
