NYT Polling Shows Americans Overwhelmingly Support GOP Position On Numerous Trans Issues - Nearly 80% of Americans, regardless of party, think males do not belong in female sports.

New polling from the New York Times shows that Americans, regardless of political party, agree with Republican positions on numerous transgender issues, including gender transitions for minors and sports inclusion.

The New York Times/Ipsos Survey, which was conducted earlier this month, found that a stunning 79% of Americans believe males should not be permitted to participate in female sports, even if the athlete identifies as transgender.

“Thinking about transgender female athletes — meaning athletes who were male at birth but who currently identify as female — do you think they should or should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports?” the survey posed.
Overall, 79% of those surveyed answered no, including 67% of Democrats. In total, only 18% of Americans believe trans athletes should be allowed in female sports.

Another survey question asked about transgender medications for minors: “Thinking about medications used for transgender care, do you think doctors should be able to prescribe puberty-blocking drugs or hormone therapy to minors between the ages of 10 and 18?”

Overall, 71% of Americans answered “No,” including 54% of Democrats. Only 10% of respondents said minors should have access to the drugs, with another 16% saying minors ages 15-18 should have access.

Respondents were also asked if we’ve gone too far as a society accommodating trans-identifying individuals. “Which statement comes closest to your feelings about the way our society deals with transgender people — that is, someone who does not identify with their sex at birth, like a person born male who now identifies as female,” the survey asked.

A total of 77% of respondents agreed that society has gone too far or has gone far enough to accommodate trans people, while only 21% said we haven’t gone far enough.

They've always hated troon shit. They're just not afraid of admitting it anymore.

I think a lot of people weren’t exposed to troons enough to form an opinion either way. Before I met my first troon, I just thought they were some type of supergay.

It was only after I met my first few offensive “estrogen makes me stupid like a woman teehee!!” linebacker transbians in Catholic schoolgirl outfits that I was like “hmmmmm”

Is nature healing?
My contention has always been that if there are a bunch of screaming harpies at the center of an issue, and what they're screeching about makes people unhappy, most people either hate it, or don't know enough to hate it just yet.

I usually end up in Group A. I believe that Group B believes the same thing I do when presented with the issue (they just don't know it until then). It's just that at the beginning of the issue, there aren't enough people in Group A not to look like fringe edgelords. Group B tends to migrate into Group A, eventually. Unfortunately, that needs to take a few years and public figures bringing the issue to the forefront (including the screeching harpies) to Group B to make Group A's views acceptable.

That's why we won't have another pandemic in probably another 20 years. And if this also beats back the onslaught of troons, the happier I'll be.

It never should've gotten to this point to begin with. I expected transgenderism to crumble in 2015.
Glad I don't live in Troonmerica.

Troons really overplayed their hand with what most people, from all political sides, care the most: their kids. No matter how committed you are to your cause, nobody wants to see a MA'AM beating up their daughter.

this, precisely.

🤡: Our forefathers came to this country because... they believed in an idea. An idea called "freedom." They wanted to live in a place where a group couldn't be prosecuted for their beliefs. Where a person can live the way they choose to live. You see us as being perverted because we're different from you. People are afraid of us, because they don't understand. And sometimes it's easier to persecute than to understand.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: Dude. You're trying to have sex with/beat up our children.

🤡: We are human. Most of us didn't even choose to be attracted to your children. We were born that way. We can't help the way we are, and if you all can't understand that, well, then, I guess we'll just have to put you away.

If it were my kid, my first thing would be to go to the parents of said MA'AM and ask if they have anything resembling a fucking conscience.

Your kid wants to play dress-up, that's your affair. Your kid is put in a position to beat up my kid, and then you ask me to clap for it?

Literal fucking insult to injury. Special place in hell and all that.

I think a lot of people weren’t exposed to troons enough to form an opinion either way. Before I met my first troon, I just thought they were some type of supergay.

Also I think the quality of troon has gone downhill.

It used to be so stigmatized, so prohibitively hard to access medically, and so expensive, that only the ones who *really* bought into the "I'm a woman inside" delusion pursued it. They were, mostly, "decent". They behaved like people, troon or not. I used to be fine with them. Brain does weird things. Used to be, I thought, you know... My brain goes crazy at minor deviations in symmetry - I notice if a window frame isn't perfect, or a television is a degree off angle on the wall, and it drives me crazy. That's my mental issue. Some people want to cut their dicks off. That's their mental issue. We both deal with it as best we can. We're practically the same thing!

Standard sort of "go along to get along" thinking.

The current generation of troon are not the same animal at all. The "social contagion" era of troon is often vile in a way the old ones rarely were.

Also I think the quality of troon has gone downhill.
The "normal" troon, much like the "normal" gay, were fully onboard with opening the doors and embracing the loonies while shitting and crying on everyone that spoke against it.

Wasnt until public opinion openly shifted against the madness that the "normal" ones raised their hands and went "we're not ALL like that...!"

Eh, some of us gays were against the nutters all along, but we've never been allowed to have a voice. I guess we just assumed sanity would rear it's ugly head sooner or later and slap the freaks down, but that didn't happen.

No one wants their kids to troon out, either. 'Overplayed their hand' is the phrase that keeps coming back - in 2016 the public was on their side when North Carolina passed its bathroom bill, to the point where they rolled it back. If the trans activists had stood pat on that victory, they'd probably have public opinion with them right now. (And as far as opinions not asked about on that poll, most American seem to support 'trans rights' in the sense that they don't think people should be fired from their jobs or kicked out of school or evicted from their housing because of their gender identity. They definitely don't think people should be harassed or assaulted because of the way they talk, dress and refer to themselves.)

But they demanded to be able to access women's spaces, under the logic that 'I call myself a woman, therefore I'm a woman and biology shouldn't matter'. You look at trans athletes next to women, being called women and it really feels like 'Who are going to believe, me or your lying eyes?' That being said, sports is kind of minor - as the activists say, it's not that many people affected so why do you care? (Though they don't seem to realize that argument works against them in the very same way it works for them.)

The biggest thing is kids - trans visibility means more people are familiar with what trans is and what trans is not than they were in 2016, and almost no one wants their kids to end up like that. So when they're like 'We need to talk to your children about gender identity' it comes across as a bunch of alcoholics telling you that they want to talk to your kids about drinking. You do what you want to your body, but try and talk kids into having a mental disorder and that's going to turn parents against you. With extreme prejudice.
