They're pretty good for establishing and repairing credit (it's often said that having no credit is worse than bad credit since bad credit is at least some kind of indicator of your ability to pay where no credit is kind of dealing with a rogue element). More often than not they wind up being 'upgraded' into a normal credit card with a normal credit line after a short while (read: encourage you to get yourself into shit so you can start paying them interest).

They have already rebranded DEI to Bridge and that started years ago. It's not going away. They are just giving it another go. No one who pushed any of that stuff should be allowed back into the conversation. Sadly that is what seems to be happening. It's like when the British invited the soviets into the Rolls Royce jet engine factory after WW2.

Yep. All of the recent closures of DEI offices/initiatives are to make people relax and crow about being so fucking back, when the new push is "you don't need a DEI office and paid positions, just weave it throughout your entire corporate culture so it's inescapable!"

Every 10 years in USA things go back and forth. Like it or not Trump coming will cause a resurgence of leftism in some area. Can it get as bad as 2015-2021? We'll see. I sure hope not.

There is political momentum on Trump's side currently, if the Overton window can be shifted even a little bit that is a success. Better opposition will return eventually but right now it is in chaos.

Unless Trump fucks up bad, I don't think dems have a shot in 2026 due to retirements and other issues. 2028 is too far to worry about.
