He could argue recent crime caused him to fear being attacked. I don't know if the serial killer was in the news back when he pepper sprayed that woman, but if the timeline fits it might help him.

Too bad the guy (probably) wasn't gay. Nick could have gotten a spicy new boyfriend.

Who fears for their life by opening themselves up to attack from a stalker? Say she was dangerous, Nick is suggesting that the best option he had was to open the door, get within attack range of her, and hope the groyper sauce he used was effective enough to stop any attacks of opportunity? That doesn’t really work for me.

Perhaps it doesn't prove he feared death, but it could add weight to a mental unease argument. "I heard rumors of killings" "my address is public" "she clearly didn't like me" etc.

I'm not saying it will work, but it is a jury trial. Telling a jury a gunman just showed up to kill you can sway things.

If the timeline of the killings doesn't fit, he can still argue it may have been an attempted assassination. For example his neighbors think the gunman targeted him specifically. According to the same article, police statements say the gunman knew Nick's name and called it out while at his door.

Look at it from a jury's point of view: if someone confronted him at his home and later someone possibly tried to assassinate him, what's to say he isn't being targeted? It doesn't disprove assault, but it might be enough to find him not guilty. Targeted people do crazy things, maybe they'll want to let him off.

The whole situation is fucked and I don't believe the Grandma Jew nor the homicidal maniac are the "good guys" but it's astounding how many people are still trying to pretend that Nick hasn't been inviting this sort of behavior for a long time and that he doesn't deserve it.

He's really fucking lucky that the Grandma Jew was who she was instead of an actual innocent rando handing out flyers or selling cookies. I believe the government of Chiraq will make an example of him (unless he's truly a fed) but at least he can make somewhat more of a defense with it being the Grandma Jew. Like most people I believe that he wouldn't have opened the door if it were a man, but I also believe if the Grandma Jew was not a grandma but instead a reasonably fit (not fat) woman in her 20s/30s he would never have opened the door.

Christian Wagner is still making response videos to Jimmy Akin. It's retarded. Apparantly (based off what Gropers told me) Wagner's claim is Akin took Wagner out of context. Which is a claim that Akin is being vindictive. And that somehow Wagner made these videos with Akin's face on them and was not saying Akin denies Mary's immaculate conception and that Wagner is right that the immaculate conception is dogma and all of Catholic theologians are wrong that it is not. And that somehow Wagner is right that Ineffablius Deus dogmatized the Immaculate Conception and subsequent popes stating that it did not are wrong.

I have a LOT of material on the Fuentes Catholics. I also feel Jimmy is being a bit too charitable in his approach, can't help feeling bad for him. The real reason why they hate him is this one book he published about Catholic doctrine, and a passage regarding how current magisterial opinions automatically override older Church documents and temporal/pedagogical teaching, which conflicts with the insane fundamentalism these people use to argue women shouldn't show their knees or that dancing is a sin. Yes it's that retarded.

I personally think Nick Fuentes cut a deal with the feds after J6. If he did sell out, I don't blame him overmuch. Fuentes is just a kid, not yet 30. He's never held a real job or raised a family or--to my knowledge--dated a woman. (Catbois don't count.) The feds probably painted a grim picture if he didn't play along. Prison is a scary place. Fuentes is not a formidable guy.

The feds and the media (but I repeat myself) want this little greaseball twerp to be the weird, neurotic, and alienating face of what they call the far-right. Nick and his bizarre and disgusting allies and generals are an intentional freakshow--and yes, his closest associates actually call themselves his generals. Conversely, no normal, decent man or woman of character--someone with real leadership chops--will be allowed to achieve any kind of prominence. There's an old saying: Tall wheat meets the scythe. That is, if you stand out, you're going to get cut down.

tl;dr: Yes, you're right: An opposition--to be an opposition--can't be what it claims to fight.
