The Game Awards 2024 (December 12) - Its 10 year anniversary

"I hope that tonight let you know that the future of gaming is bigger and brighter than ever." That's the saddest thing that's been uttered all night.

How much money do you think this faggot was paid to make an ad game for a shit console GOTY? Also fuck me this was even more "The Ad Awards" than last time.

Don't forget the people who vote in these awards are a panel of games journalists. Wukong was never gonna win, they hated that game.
I’d rather Astro Bot than dlc or anything western, but Wukong should’ve won.

For whatever flaws it may have had, it was a reminder of game that was purely about sharing its story, and making sure you have fun while they do it. That’s a lost art in gaming.

This show is worse than last year holy shit.

While I had the livestream on mute, I realized just how few genres of games were shown this year. FPS, cozy games, gacha games, yet nothing for RTS, city-builder, 4X or anything. We have regressed to the point that the genres of games shown is fewer then ever.
