Gen X (and I guess older Millenials if you're talking about people who were in their teens in the late 90's) had the advantage of growing up before social media. We were the last generation that wasn't constantly bombarded with "be kind" indoctrination and Pathological Tolerance.
Younger Millenials and onwards never knew a world that wasn't fucking cucked with faggotry and social media.
As for what happened, we got old I guess, and we ignored shit we shouldn't have until it was too late because we just wanted to be left alone.

The ban wave on Bluesky was for drawn child porn both furry and non. It’s no shock that goon-brained trannies were the most affected. It’s not even a right wing trick, Bluesky has always banned those accounts and it’s only because they’ve had influx of users that more have been banned.

They got too pushy and too cocky and alienated people who would have either been on their side or at least not cared either way, but I'm convinced what tipped the cart over was when they started demanding access to our kids, a fucking whole choir full of registered sex offenders fucking singing "we're coming for your children" and they try to defend it like its no big deal, they're marching in their sodomite "Pride" parades chanting they're coming for our children, they started trying to force pornography into schools under the guise of "sex ed" and they pushed for laws that would let them groom children without the parents even being notified, let alone consent.
You can fuck around and act like a goober and do a lot of shit and people will be live and let live generally, but when you go mask off like they did and start demanding access to peoples kids... theres some things you don't fuck with.
They made themselves the enemy of decency and morality and common sense, and they peaked normies in a massive way.
They got too cocky and made the mistake of confusing grudging "tolerance" for acceptance.
What happens next is on them.

Maybe schizoposting but I find it so fucking weird how they all exalt hormones and surgery like it’s some kind of god, and the way they articulate it makes me think they’re trying to attain a ‘higher state of being’ by stuffing exogenous hormones in their body and mutilating normal body parts. This ‘true self’ narrative is the most braindead thing ever, transgenderism strips away your individuality and personality; and it’s all by design. They want you to be lost and unsure, because it’s so much more easy to stick a needle in yourself and call it a day rather than do introspection to realise you’re living a lie—especially when we have big pharma churning out trannies with axe wounds like a Chinese sweatshops conveyer belt and working overtime social engineering the shit out of vulnerable people & communities. Take this person for example, do you really think this person is genuinely happy with themselves, lauding hormones on Reddit acting as if it’s the second coming of Jesus. Once the high wears off and he realises he looks just as much of a man than he did before he’ll start to chase that high again, and eventually he’ll end up in a hospital bed with a necrotising axe wound from a doctor who’s job consists of butchering tranny clones who’s any sense of self reflection got rotted away by the system designed to destroy it.
