The debate probably really helped that. Biden sundowned and knew he was sundowning, and Trump toned down his viciousness and was effectively kind to Biden by not doing as much personal attacks. I wouldn't be surprised if after the debate Trump got in touch with Biden to see if he's okay. Biden is still human, and if he was surrounded by staff who hated him for that while his rival was genuinely concerned, that would sway emotions a bit. Trump probably offered him a golf membership to his resorts and promised to help him out if needed
