You have to remember that for over a year, the media were hyping Swift as a kingmaker. Although it was almost definitive that she was going to support the Democrat candidate, there was still speculation that maybe, just perhaps maybe, she could go for Trump, and they were scared. There were articles pumped about how Taylor was going to swing the election, decide it once and for all, and that we were at her mercy.

We, too, were scared here. When Taylor endorsed Kamala, there was a lot of copium. Then Trump said that he hated Taylor, but it was swept under the rug because he had another assassination attempt that day.

Then what happened? Taylor did absolutely nothing. Zilch. She sent a lot of traffic to a voter registration page, and that was the media's big cope, but that traffic came from all across the world. Then, the polls came out, and it turns out Taylor's endorsement meant nothing—if anything, it pushed more people NOT to vote for Kamala.

They know that their celebrities mean nothing now. In the final stretch, they tried to throw every single celebrity imaginable to see what would stick, but nothing worked. Trump won, and he's expected to win the popular vote for the first time.

Yeah. Doubt they've learned the lesson.

I have a sister who loves Taylor Swift and goes out of her way to see her in concert. She's also extremely based and a huge MAGA supporter. Conservative women who like Taylor Swift don't give a shit what she thinks about politics. This goes for normal people regarding celebrities in general.

What the podcast circuit did for Trump that the celebrity endorsements failed to do for Kamala was give him and his team a way to connect with normal people. That was invaluable. He humanized himself to tons of moderates by just being himself and shooting the shit on a few popular podcasts. He sold himself, not the podcaster. People made their own minds up, not the celebrities.

I was a big fan of Trump but listening to his podcasts made him human, and as a result even more impressive, which made me like him more.

I never thought he was dumb, per se, but listening to it made me realize bow smart he is.

My close relative that I use for normie barometer was going off on how all the celebrity endorsements would hurt Kamala (when I told her that they endorsed her) because the celebs are all evil and satanic (esp Beyonce and Jay-Z), even before the Diddy tapes went out. So it seems that having celebrity endorsements is starting to lose its shine. I'm curious to know if this trend continues or is just replaced by e-celebs.
