The peak of Ralph "content" wasn't his content, he was just the guy with the least to lose so he hosted crazy people. Ralph (unlike guys like Sargon and Jim) didn't care if he lost a channel because he could move the panels around and knew people would follow him so long as the guest booking stayed good. He just burned too many bridges to have a successful panel show and it's no surprise the IRL content ticked up in a big way as the quality of guests declined. Behind the scenes I'm sure people had soured on Ralph way sooner but his Portugal trip and other mishaps were too good for people to pass up on. People were willing to overlook Ralph's "personality quirks" because he consistently got guests that people asked for, the second the guests started drying up people were just waiting to pounce.
