I have to say I'm a bit more optimistic this time around. I have an aunt who was from El Salvador and Trump seems to get along with their country's PM Bukele. Here's to hoping the two of them work closely and maybe Trump can invest El Salvador the same way America invested in South Korea in exchange for Trump deporting illegal migrants from El Salvador back. Bukele may not be perfect but I have herd El Salvador is a bit better than many years ago.

Orange County is the Last Coastal Holdout from when California was a Deep Red State the first time they went blue since 1940 was in 2016 and 2020 though in 2020 there was clearly some ballot printing going on since the highest turnout ever for both parties happened that year by around 400k and the turnout this year is line with every other past election.

With expenses being high and leftists leaving California in droves, it could easily go red in the next 10 years. Many voted yes on tough on crime. Orange County has always been very conservative, for example. People who think California is one unflappable blue state have no idea, and the Democrats’ reaction to latino voters wanting to keep their money because their taxes go to fuck nowhere shows it. I think a major demographic that would be big if Trump were to win with is Asian-Americans, too. Considering in 2016, only 35% of Latino men supported Trump, it is not insane to believe that the Republicans could reach some of these minority groups. For 2024, 39% of Asian-Americans voted for Trump. If the Democrats lose Asian-Americans, they will see a substantial loss in their advantage in California, as well as New York and New Jersey. My guess is that Asian American men, in particular, will likely swing right more and more as time goes on.

The biggest obstacle would be to de-fortify California.
