I like the Zelda game with the boat, probably because I actually finished it.

I also like it, but aging has been unkind to it unfortunately. The sailing and giant ocean don't seem as impressive as they did in 2002.

Still great dungeons, boss fights, and enemy design. It's probably my third favorite 3D game overall.

Ocarina is just a chore. It justified it's existence with the harder version, but I just have more fun with the 2D ones. I really don't think a lot of Zelda was meant to go to 3D. Once I get over the nostalgia goggles, I just don't have any reason to pick it up again. The game is awkward to play and I don't find it as fun as the 2D ones.

I'm just flat out saying 2D Zelda is better than 3D Zelda wholesale. I don't think Zelda was ever meant to be 3D. I think the 3D games suck, frankly. Barring Majora's Mask, I can't think of a single good 3D Zelda game. I think ever since Nintendo brought Zelda to 3D, it's been struggling to figure out new things for Link to actually do so you have several games all of which are gimmicky. Puzzles in 3D Zelda have been pathetic. It's platforming at best and fetch quests at worst. The 2D games don't have this problem.

I much prefer the 2Ds. They had the first few 3Ds right but lost their way with Skyward Sword. I really don't care for BotW or TotK.

Windwaker was a bit kiddie but yeah those dungeons are fantastic, I hate that first dungeon though where the goblins spot you and throw you back in jail.
