Suburban neocons voting Democrat is a huge reason why Democrats do so well against pro-Trump candidates or in the 2020 election itself. Convincing them they don't have to pull the R lever if the Republican on the ballot isn't kosher enough has worked. They do so at no cost so long as they scare progtards enough to keep holding their nose and voting D lest the Orange Man turn America into Gilead.

If you told kid me that the Repubs would be pro-health and peace while the Dems would be a bunch of craven warmongers, she’d think you were fucking insane.
Nevertheless, I think the talk around Cheney is a distraction from the fact that she, and people like her dad, want people to die in these bogus forever wars for Israel/Lockheed Martin/the Party/what have you. Politics is about marketing, true, but remember that none of these brave politicians fought evil terrorists on Jan 6- they hid under their desks. The same people that want you, your children, and your grandchildren to die.

Something interesting may be happening in Oregon. I have been watching the state returns for the last week and would now like to point out what might be an alarm for Dems in the state:
Oregon is an all mail in voting state and while ballot returns are 9% higher than in 2022; they are- 28% compared to 3 business days prior to election in 2020. That said, two of the three most liberal counties are down double digits in ballot returns compared to '22, while nearly every red county is up. The gubernatorial race last cycle was decided by less then 4% with the Republicans having their best performance in decades.
A contributor to lower early returns in Multnomah County may be the new Portland Council government which has something like 120 candidates running for city positions.

I'm... not entirely convinced. I mean yes, they're going quiet, not arguing that, but I'm not convinced its the best play. The problem is the way they're doing it now is leaving the ground game true believers out to dry with the fraud attempts, and a bunch of them are going to get burned without that cover. That's a serious chilling not just to future ground game and fuckery efforts, but to ground support for the party as a whole that might translate into the new blood they so DESPERATELY need. If the sentiment among the people willing to pull the strings becomes "We're just disposable assets for old fucks who don't actually care" then they're in big fucking trouble.
I guess what I'm saying is they're not regrouping, they're just pulling out and leaving everyone to fend for themselves. They're not consolidating resources, they're letting them be spent needlessly. Its incredibly shortsighted. All this achieves is letting the republicans identify and counter avenues of fraud or attack they might have, and provides smoking guns for better institutional defense against it going forward.
Not to mention, the homeless don't have the right to make public spaces feel unsafe for the people who pay the taxes to maintain said public spaces. I'm not implying homeless people should be arrested for being homeless, but we just let these trash-covered giant tent cities pop up all over the place and then the people who clean them up are the "bad guys". Tucker Carlson said it best:

Vance definitely reads KF, the real question is whether he's only ever lurked or if he has a formerly or currently active account. Here's hoping he'll drop a few hints here and there over time to confirm this.
I mean there's been discussions over the past decade about how having nudes posted on the internet is losing its stigma, to the point of it not being a cause for scandal for future politicians as it would have been in older times, so why not normalize being a KF poster since we're re-defining social taboos?

I agree with you on both points, @Prester John.
That said, I bet a lot of people are going to question either the timing of the events or the early voting process itself that allowed this ballot to be tabulated and become a secret ballot incapable of being voided when it should have never been allowed to be cast.
I get the impression from some of these early voting laws that those who drafted them want those early ballots counted as quickly as possible so that they reach the point of no return before someone can discover early ballots being cast that should never reach the tabulation process. Under Michigan's old rules that prohibited any sort of pre-processing until election day, just maybe this ballot (and any others like it) could be retrieved and voided. Now, clerks have every incentive to feed ballots into the machines immediately upon receipt so that they can say, "Sorry, no givesies backsies," if it's later learned someone cast a ballot who shouldn't have.
As said countless times before, it's amazing that photo ID verification is required for the most mundane of daily activities but requiring it for something as important as voting is problematic and racist.
