Varg Vikernes / Thulean Perspective quotes and funny moments

The first time someone said "Check this shit out" and put on Burzum, I was convinced they were fucking with me. It was like the Shaggs of black metal. I've loved Varg ever since, am glad he is more broadly recognized as a lolcow nowadays, and very much hope to see a thread for him in the Prospering Grounds.

There is one bit buried somewhere in those many hours, where he is walking through the grounds of the restored Fantoft church. Turns to the camera and says, "I've not been to this place before..."

Was Varg the last man in the world to use the (((parentheses))) unironically? They were in one of his last videos on YouTube before the channel was taken down, and this was years after Jews on Twitter made it cringe by putting them in their bios.

Varg went on about the jews, muslims and how the holocaust didn't happen for years. It's a surprise he didn't get kicked off much earlier.

I actually used to love Varg's vids while he was still making youtube videos and hadn't yet contracted the Twitter brain virus after YT booted him off the platform. While his takes were always quite out there more often than not, he did inspire me to get my act together when I wasn't doing too great back then.

I feel the same way. Some of his takes are kinda dumb, exaggerated funny, but often there's some important kernel of truth to what he's saying, especially when talking about taking responsibility for your life and towards future generations. Also Varg, of all people, is the guy who made me take environmental issues seriously. Until I came across him the eco crowd was just a bunch of cringe lefties and so I dismissed even the good things they had to say.

My favorite was the one where he told people self-defence tricks against intruders that anyone can do, which involved LITERALLY CHUCKING ROCKS. To demonstrate, he threw a bunch of rocks at a plywood board, after which he said "quite effective." I wish I could still find it.

Also, more Varg shit I unearthed from my old hard drive:

I'm pretty sure I have that. Gonna get to it, clip and post it eventually.

Btw I think I'm still missing some videos in my personal archive. Does anyone know of something close to a complete collection? The internet archive is not it.
