There is indeed more to it. Pump Guy ("Faddy Coin", the Telegram chatter) basically said that they don't want drama views from Boogie, they want him to be a "viral funny content creator". Dude even posted a screenshot of texts with Boogie where he asked how much he'd have to pay Boogie to never go on streams like LCL for the duration of a 24-month contract. Essentially paying Boogie to STFU and make content that's not about him. I'm surprised that didn't pan out.

I was entertained by the fake cancer arc, but the tattoo punishment was a huge let down to conclude an otherwise decent series of livestreams. everyone wants to analyze whether or not the tattoo is real and I honestly don't even think it matters that much, because even if the tattoo is real, it's still a non-punishment. all he has to do is hunker down in his house (as he was going to do anyway) until his beard grows in and it's hidden and less noticeable. he can even avoid shame in the mcdonald's drive-thru since the tattoo faces the passenger seat and not the side he's receiving his dozen cheeseburgers from. he was so golly and happy because he knew he was getting off pretty easy and now whenever anyone tries to bring up the fake cancer he can just deflect with, "well I did my punishment already, it's done, I'm not talking about it anymore."

Can someone explain to me how DSP is still relevant as a lolcow? I've really never understood his following. He just seems like a bland as paste, low IQ streamer thats barely holding onto his career.

Some dsp experts can probably tell you better but this is how I see it:

- He was many people's first lolcow. Started off as having true fans because people were young and stupid + youtube, back the early 2000s, was uncharted territory. Those fans developed into variois detractors he has today.

- He used to be a prominent figure in the fgc (fighting game community) because he was a laughing stock. Basically, he was that weird kid in high school that came to class with a trench coat and an anime shirt and thought he was cool as shit. He was blacklisted from the fgc but is still scorned he's no longer part of the club.

- He's notoriously bad at all video games for which there are many people that have made supercut videos of his failures.

- He has a crippling gambling addiction to a bejeweled gacha game with WWE skins. I think people estimate he's spent $100k to $200k USD.

- He's one of the best e-beggar's to grace the internet.

- He somehow stays popular enough to remain relevant in internet culture, mainly as a joke, but not popular enough for normal people to care about. Random viral tweet here, random viral video there, even seen a video of video game developers using his shit game play as examples of people playing their games.

- He sometimes rages hard at random shit but he's mostly boring. I think the majority of people that follow him hard-core or too invested to quit because of the insane amount of time they've put in, tbh. DSP is rarely entertaining these days besides what you see when he's featured content on the homepage.

I think he's past redemption at this point. Even if he does all of that he'll just go back to grifting and lying like he did in the years prior to this drama. He's only ever cared about doing the absolute bare minimum to afford the sedentary lifestyle of vidya, McDonalds, and Mountain Dew.
