it's something I heard, something about those states where the delegates legally can't switch their votes after a certain point so technically it would be ok for Harris to be the democratic ticket since she was on the ticket with Biden. Even then this whole thing is unprecedented and it's a gray area as it has never happened before.
"Nevada's deadline for changing candidates ended at 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday of June - in this case, June 28, 2024." and Wisconsin "only death can remove a candidate's name from a Wisconsin ballot" so Biden's name will still be on the ballot in those states. It's complicated how they get around this in some states, it's simply too late.
