I'm getting de ja vu so stop me if I've sperged on this before. progesterone does metabolize into allopregnanolone, which is thought to be responsible for the mood symptoms of PMS & PMDD. But it will never be cyclical without the deliberation you mention (it's usually prescribed to take daily), and it isn't going to cause physical symptoms like cramps.

One peaking moment for me was explaining how wishful thinking meeting confirmation bias might explain why someone claims to experience period-like symptoms (with no progesterone in the mix at all) and being dogpiled on how, by talking about a scientifically observable reality & providing a more plausible explanation for a phenomenon someone claims to experience, I was using transphobic rhetoric.

It's a weird misconception where the national minimum is something super low like that, but every single prefecture has it set higher (16-18). And I reckon there's laws to prevent statutory rape in place, too.
