The 1st of the month autismbux buff usually lasts a few days at most. Probably one more good day, then Sunday which is always dead unless a whale saves the day, and back to normal.
Yeah. I’d imagine Phil has been dialing current and former whales like crazy the last day. But as you said, the furstofdamunff buff won’t last long.

I think there has been a change of sorts.

(NOPE, not saying that this is the end!)

Phil’s income has been dropping slowly but steady over the last couple of years, but notice what has happened recently.

The only thing bringing in cash is BG3. Why? Simple: Phil hates it, sits and rages and suffers.

Phil always used to be carried by some whales along with a handful of supporters.

What has changed now is that there’s only one or two (periodic) whales. Quite a bit of his support comes from some folks who tip him because they want their monkey to dance. Preferably while raging.

So I’d expect there’ll be a lot more streams in the near future where they totally turn off the tap to see him sweat and beg.

(Yes, giving Phil money, even if it’s for a game he hates is dumb and gay, but that’s beside the point.)

Open world/RPGs and Phil is probably the worst combination of content. He's very inefficient when it comes to getting anything done in a timely manner so were left with watching some fuckin' retard do chores half-ass the whole time. Purposely avoiding any sort of main story progression because that means he's closer to the end of the game=less streams to milk it.
In Phil's mind, there's a very sensible reason for this. He tries to autisticly segment all his gameplay into chunks the size of one of his video parts because he thinks he can give them attention grabbing titles which will get him more views. Needless to say this never works but he's been doing it for this long, why change?

So this hour has to be all side quests, no story whatsoever. Or this hour he'll be doing all story progression, but oh no it's minute 55 and we just entered a really long cutscene and there's no good place to split the part! And that's when he starts getting pissy. I seriously think that is a big part of why he hates RPGs, they don't fit well into this stupid paradigm he contorts his content into.

So DSP decided to name drop Sajam, who is part of an upcoming coaching/tournament for Tekken , during his post-stream cope. DSP claims Sajam said "you'll swear you're losing to a mashing scrub...and you are". I have not perused the entire Sajam library on Tekken but I think DSP missed an important point.

@ 0:38. You're also a mashing barbarian, DSP. And stupid. And fat. Let's review some of his caveman thinking:

DSP uses db 1, 2 a lot. Here are its properties:
  • 26 frame startup (considered slow and reactable by skilled/pro players)
  • - 13 on block for the second hit and recovers standing. (punishable)
  • +4 (first hit) on regular hit. recovers crouching.
  • +0 (second hit) on regular hit. +6 ballerina spin if the second hit counter hits
  • natural combo for 32 damage
  • hits low, then mid (requires a crouching, then standing block)
One of DSP's main complaints is that he's getting stuffed or counterhit. Looking at the actual properties, it's easy to see why. He's mashing a slow startup attack that gives no advantage on hit even when he is successful. It's mathematically not built to allow him to push his offense. This is how frame data helps you formulate a personal style. Sure, let it rock for some sneaky damage, but you have to go back to neutral afterwards.

And someone taught the baby the name "Twin Pistons". A 13 frame rising launcher that's -12 on block. That's not instant anything, loser. The best part is him getting hit by the second hit proving that he is mashing.

You're right on the money. Phil has this weird thing in a fighting game where he'll pick something that will do a moderate to large amount of damage pretty easily but pretty unsafe and if the person has an answer will be countered near constantly much to piggas ire

OK that move that piggy spams may have shit frame data but does it have high moof priority? Piggy seems to think that this obsolete term from over 2 decades ago is more important.

I just noticed he's constantly checking something to his left. The chat is down and to the left, but this seems to be at eye level. Has he set up an extra monitor in there or something?
Interesting, especially the second clip. Maybe Dave decided to film his own true and ahnest documentary about him and can't help but look at the camera.
