Yeah, we're going to need a CPA and I have two potentials in mind. There's a user who volunteered a while back and another user has a CPA in his family. For some reason I know a lot of people in nonprofit work.
One of my ideas is buying stock in companies with charity funds, then filing activist shareholder reports. This would be grey area and I'm warned I need to file 990s with UBI riders, which is apparently a skillset unto itself.
It's scary and a lot of work but I'm tired of waiting for the EFF and FIRE to help us, while they're actively rooting for us to die so they can represent more 'worthy' clients.
