It never ceases to amaze me how retarded this generation is when it comes to just taking an L.
If Jirard just admitted he messed up it would mess with the short term but earn him some respect at him being genuine and honestly probably help him in the long run, as well as make it so charity streams in the future could still be successful.
Instead he not only makes his apology deadmomguilttrip.mp4, he makes legal threats he HAS TO KNOW literally only exist to scare Muta and Karl into compliance. You know, two people who can afford amazing lawyers and have done literally nothing wrong, and due to their profession can monetize the entire scenario for a profit.

Part of me thinks he expected his dad to be taking care of this charity stuff all this time and instead Dad just straight up stole it. How do you make that apology if it incriminates your father?
All the clips of him naming all the various charities he's supposedly working with didn't just pop into his head in the moment. He had to be given that info from someone. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Five Therapists was totally clueless that his family was looting his charity the whole time.

I think there's still people who take the Ls nicely, but we don't hear about them because they're not a drama mongerer or more importantly an internet famous clout chaser. A young person can be arrogant and stupid but make amends later, but youtube and other social media sites get everyone involved in it instead of between an audience (obviously Jirad was inviting the public in so doesn't matter) when there doesn't always need to be one. Besides, previous generations' famous people had their own meltdowns, but usually they had better tard handlers than say influencers and youtubers who have none.
That would be the most fucking depressing thing. Now he's getting raked over the coals for it. He should obviously know better but being a pushover and being bullied by family into compliance puts a lot of pressure. We won't know without further information dropping so I'm not giving him the benefit of doubt/crippling stupidity.

Jared's career was fucking over the moment this started going public.
And he knew it.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING he did was going to change that, aside from convincing two sharks smelling the blood not to tear him to pieces.
Getting respect doesn't mean shit if he has no path of return.
His Indieland was done no matter what (No fucking way would that be hosted again with Charity Fraud lmao), his "walk away" from youtube to "bigger things" is impossible (Can't pull a Markiplier with this. You gotta be squeaky clean publicly, even if you're a fucking dog behind the scenes.) And even his connections are burnt to the ground.
He may be stubborn and honestly hard working. But unlike Jontron (who doesn't need parasitic grifter faggots glued to him), he's too reliant on the views of others to bounce back. His channel, was cooked.

I don't think so, not at first. Like I said earlier, I think he really believed he could talk people out of it.
Everything I've heard about Jirard paints him as incredibly charismatic. He seems like someone who is very easy to be friends with. The guy had been straight-faced lying to people for ten years and yet continued on like nothing was awry. So, even when confronted with this embezzlement, he rode his charisma like he normally did, unafraid and seemingly believing nothing would ever change.
Even after all is said and done, I've no doubt he'll still try to find some way of painting himself as being a victim.
How much does he stand to lose? And will his family bail him out?

I'm not saying it's impossible, but if he is to anhero himself; I think it'll come after his father forces him to get a "real job," and after six months or so of being unable to cope with the mundanity of it, he retreats to the big Minecraft Server in the sky. That's the most realistic approach. I don't think he'll suicide unless his family/father tells him to, he'll just move on, pussywhipped, and likely assimilated into a business owned by his family.

The leaked call and public "Legalistic" ass cover says otherwise.
Like think about it. He, for everything else that's wrong with him, is clearly sharp. Hell, that's how he built his career, off the back of playing the social game for years and years. He'd know that Charisma can only go so far if something goes wrong, which is why he does the "nice guy" routine.
I think the leaked call was so desperate and fucking pathetic because he knew it was his only chance to alter the course of things before it went public. I mean he fucking admitted it in the call. Word for word, that this controversy would "end his career". I think he was half mask off in that call.
But the video, after? Nah, that was Anti Charisma. Intentionally so, he left it on the table, even prefacing it. It was designed as a loaded attack and to lessen the damage caused by it publicly leaking. By lying, distorting the image to his hard core fans and parasocialites.
But I think he knew it wasn't going to do shit for his career, hence why the threat at the end, which he wanted to use to break Muta and Karl.
Breaking them is the key to victory here, as cynical and bastardly as it is. Scare them into silence, and the lie becomes truth.
Because yeah, his *daddy* has quite a bit of money doesn't he? I learnt alot from a friend, apparently his father is a major funder of various companies, including fucking Monster Energy.
So he felt a threat would shut them up. Though Muta probably didn't know and Karl, who stands the most to lose, didn't given a shit. Karl always hunted for blood in the water, I suppose this time around it was really to his benefit.

I fucking hope not. I once had a inch of respect for the man, inspite of not liking his overall fake demenor. Why, because of the effort he went through. Like, remember that he literally deleted nearly every video on his channel and then REMADE those videos. To stop an old associate turned enemy of his trying to fuck with him. That takes some fucking effort.

You're basically proving my point. His "nice guy" routine, as you put it, is probably something he has relied on for the past 10 years which is why he was able to get away with this for so long. That, for all intents and purposes, is what he presents in every interview, every interaction, etc.
As for the Discord call, it was leaked. Meaning, this was definitely something he didn't expect to be listen to by thousands of people and get scrutinized to hell. Even then, it isn't even the real him because while he sounds desperate, he still finds it appropriate to put on a face for Muta and Karl by playing the victim. He still thinks he can talk his way out of it.
Exactly right. He sounds afraid during the Discord call, but instead of trying to make things right, he continues to double down as if Muta and Karl can't see right through him. And, one suspects that Muta is even buying it, given what Crispy Jakes has taken away:
I've listened to Muta enough times to know he is knowledgeable, but he also doesn't seem to truly understand just how slimy people can be. Karl seems to cover these people on a regular basis on his channel, he is all too familiar with how far people will go to lie and cheat and smile.
