Food You're Not Really Sure Anyone Even Buys

Well, here's hoping katakana NI KO TE(I) N means B3. It did not turn my pee neon yellow, so probably not.
Was it the concentrated energy drink you had Lipovitan D by any chance? If it was then the "nicotine" you was was definitely nicotinic acid.

I never get people buying pre packaged frozen vegetables. They all taste like nothing, turn to mush, and are generally more expensive than getting fresh stuff that always tastes better.
Are you fucking retarded? I can store green peas and corn for 6 months in my freezer. Throw them on a quick light boil and they come out as fresh as when picked. I think your impediment doesn't allow you to cook properly.

What a relief if it was! It's been 20 years so I can't remember, though I do recognize the label.
Good.
Dosing with vitamin B3 is very good for you. I think the recommended daily allowance is too low.
Also, be mindful of the form of the vitamins you consume. Some are absorbed more efficiently than others.

That's nice for peas and corn but this was about broccoli and onions probably, I do know in the time since I've made that post I've only bought fresh vegetables and never felt like I was missing out.

I will concede on broccoli, since no one deserve mushy broccoli. But where in the 9 hells do you purchase frozen onions? And in what world would they be cheaper? Onions are so cost effective and I'm assuming you could just freeze the fuckers yourself if you were so inclined. I will not budge on anything canned though. The plastic lining from canned goods seeps into the contents and destroys the flavor and texture and you can't recover it.

It was some a bag of mixed veg, probably one of those ones that's meant for going with rice or something. All I remember is the broccoli turned to mush and the onions had no flavor.

(I do not eat cephalopods or lobster because to justify eating animals that intelligent you would need to be OK with eating black people(the average cephalopod is able to pass the Stanford marshmallow experiment without any issues) )
You mean to tell me that you don't eat black people?

Those tins of canned octopus or soft shell crab meat. I could see wanting that fresh, but who wants to eat fucken pickled octopus (I do not eat cephalopods or lobster because to justify eating animals that intelligent you would need to be OK with eating black people(the average cephalopod is able to pass the Stanford marshmallow experiment without any issues) )
I think that canned stuff tastes good, though I am a godless degenerate
I seem to be one of the few around my way that regularly buys tofu, Balkan style Jerry, and chicken gizzards.
Not sure what the Balkan-style stuff is, but tofu is great since it absorbs sauce/curry very well, and chicken gizzards are fucking great.

Another issue is that, in a 2015 survey published by WaPo, 70% of Americans actually preferred table syrup over maple syrup.
70% of Americans are fat fucking retards.

I think canned is acceptable for crabcake. I also think canned tuna is fine for tuna salad, even though it's strictly mediocre. But if I had an actual tuna steak no way would I be bastardizing it into tuna salad. That shit's getting grilled.

Was reminded of half-length spaghetti. What's the big deal with using tongs to rotate the pasta until it's sufficiently submerged and becomes pliable enough to rest in the pot? I guess I get it if all you have is a saucepan, but investing in larger cookware seems like something I'd make a priority in that case. The length seems so awful- too short to twirl, too long to pick up with a fork, too thin to skewer onto a fork.
Do people still eat animal organs for fun and not because of a diet they read on a sketchy website?
I do, usually only when people give me stuff they hunted or from a specific animal they slaughtered, it's really rare I get a craving for it independently and it's really not that cost effective. Unless you count tripe (as in, the stomach lining) in which case I fucking love animal organs. Tongue and tendon are also great, but I guess even more tenuously considered organs, I only included them here because they're considered offal.

Literally nothing. The world is full of so many diverse freaks there's bound to be at least one person who buys Flamin' Hot Cheetos flavored mountain dew.

I have done from time to time, though not that often. I am a big fan of making a thing called Sarapatel with a pig's organs. The heart, kidneys, liver and tongue in particular, not much of a fan of the lungs. Par boil them in salt water with a dash of lemon and vinager till firm, cut up in chunks and add to ground pork meat with loads of spices and assorted things I want. Sometimes I make it more sauce heavy to be spoon eaten, other times drier and crumbly. Pretty good.

However I can speak for most of Brazil that there are 3 main items of offal that are quite popular still.

First one is ox liver, cut into thin sheets which is well seasoned and fried. Not really that popular but reasonably so done with a bunch of sauted onions alongside it.

Second is ox tongue. Reasonably popular, loads of places sell them. You can buy them raw to make yourself, having to do the final cleaning at home and such or you can just buy it ready to make already done by the market butcher with bacon/sausage/carrot stuffing and ready to put on the pressure cooker for preparing. Pretty good stuff and the meat comes out quite tender and flavorful. Pic is kinda shit but it's the best one I found of a traditional style of it.

The final one, undisputed king and so popular most people don't even realize and connect the dots it is actually offal is chicken hearts. They are a staple of Brazilian barbecue. It's just a fucking good piece of meat from a chicken, it has a much stronger flavor than the rest of the animal being more like a duck than a actual chicken and the fat on it makes it deeply savory. It's extremely common on any even just decent BBQ place and absolutely a must in buffet BBQ. It's good no matter how well done too, meaning if you arrive as the restaurant has just opened and the hearts have just barely warmed it is tasty but if you are eating the last ones in the skewer that are shriveled up and well done they still are good tasting now less like duck and more like crispy bacon or something, which I suspect is part of what makes it good for buffets.

The most notable use is on barbecue but you can stew them, fry them, bread them... Just good multipurpose cut they are. Fuckers are so popular that we actually have trouble keeping up with demand. Despite the billions of chickens we produce and slaughter for export in Brazil producers are almost unable to sell any to international markets because our own national market will buy up ALL the hearts, the the point in the south where BBQ is the most popular they sometimes have to import to keep up the demand. Thankfully no one else has caught up and the rest of the world remains sleeping on chicken hearts, so we are safe for now. Hopefully the chinese don't realize they are good and start buying the same way they did with all our chicken feet. (Though to be fair the chinks already liked chicken feet, they just woke up to the fact we did too and ours were better)
