Wouldn't be so sure that, the last years and failures of USAF have proved that it's no more the beast entity it's used to be. zyou also have to thank diversity hires and absolute retards at all ranks and power levels that have led to The Army to become a fucking laughing stock.
Not to mention that displeasure at U. S. have been growing for quite a while. Jews aren't liked much either, so if the bang to happen the hesitant ones will not be spared, thus nobody would hood back, everyone will get involved in this conflict either willingly or not.

Best bet would be to register with the US Embassy and shelter in place. I expect the Air Force will start evacuation flights to Landstuhl, Aviano and Incirlik in the coming days if private carriers remain grounded.

The dead lady who was being paraded around on the back of the van is being reported as a German tourist, but she lived near Tel Aviv according to her social media. Her mother's LinkedIn says she lives in Jerusalem.
The British security guard at the festival who's missing lived in Israel, and another British man who's reported dead was in the IDF.

Effectiveness is irrelevant. They hate us and that's all they really need. People keep wondering what Hamas' strategy was with this but even if they had one it would just be another factor to why it happened. Really, our lack of effectiveness would encourage them.

The main thing that has kept the israeli state safe these decades is that their neighbours are tired of getting rolfstomped by them, the jews have a really good military reputation, especially in the area.
What happened yesterday was a big blow to their standing, but imagine if somehow hamas can stall the IDF on their own turf, holy shit how bad would that be.
If israel cant deal with the ubershithole militia of hamas they will be considered weak, they are maybe the last country on earth that can afford that, especially now that they are getting finally some diplomatic headway with some big arab powers.
I mean the thought that the IDF woudnt be able to push hamas never even came to my head before now, the chance of happening is probably less than 1%, but if it happens holy shit the jews will truly turn schizo threatening nukes to anyone that looks at them dirty.

So it looks like a lot of the Palestinians herding hostages were plain clothes. I’m wondering if this was like a few units going in and then being supported by sleeper cells that activated once the fighting started?

ahhh finally. So it was called the supernova festival. Nothing about anything I can find from before the attacks, not their own branding or their ads, would suggest it was a "peace festival".
(edit: someone pointed out my mistake, and there's a post a couple of pages later that has the accurate festival, focused on environmentalism and free love)

Was there any strategy at all aside from how to infiltrate into Israel? It just doesn't strike me with a thought this whole thing was well planned or have had a long discussion on how to execute the idea into motion.
After reading this, I'm wondering what "new and exciting" weapons will be used by IDF. Given how good their defense industry is, maybe some hunter drones. I guess palestinians will learn a new type of fear by being hunted down one by one.

How didn't Mossad know about this? They have agents across the entire Western World, infiltrating our own governments. How didn't they know about this massive raid planned in their own backyard? Vueling airlines sent an empty plane to Tel-Aviv this Sunday to repatriate its crew and travelers who could not get a seat on the Tel-Aviv - Barcelona flight last Saturday. The plane has a capacity for 220 passengers and will make a stopover in Rome.

There doesn't seem to be. People thought they were going to stop any payback by bartering with hostages, but that ship has sailed. Gaza has already been bombed in retaliation and will likely continue to be.
