Eating people is worse than animal abuse, no matter how hard you spin it.
How?
It is backwards and it shocked the Europeans, who by your reckoning were accustomed to it.
That's the thing, Europeans weren't even consistent with their own taboos. Same as their inconsistency with magic.
Don't get me wrong, I think Indian history is pretty interesting, especially in regards to the Mesoamericans but I don't get rosy eyed about it.
I don't consider it being rosy-eyed. The American Indians for the most part had much more egalitarian, democratic and liberal societies and the Eastern ones, or at least Iroquoians, had much more equal gender relations. They ate pretty well and had, in some sense, more leisure than European peasantry. The biggest tradeoff was their tribal warfare, which was self-inflicted (compared to being sent off to die for the king/nobility).

Mesoamericans are a completely different beast and I consider it an act of generosity they weren't obliterated. I don't much like Plains Indians either.
The Euros didn't have ritualised torture enshrined in Christianity that was endorsed by the Church.
I don't know that most American Indians had that, but from the time of contact to some time after Westphalia religious genocide, total warfare, and horrific torture were all part and parcel of life in Europe. Basically, if we're comparing Indians to Europeans, you can be comparing them to Reformation Europe, Enlightenment Europe, or Victorian Europe. By the time you get to Enlightenment and Victorian Europe has become a pretty decent place, but Reformation Europe is a fucking nightmare.

I don't think the Native Americans were as 'one with Mother Earth' as many scholars and figures claim.
They weren’t. They ate all the megafauna in America, would mass kill Buffalo just to get one horn. They had a use for every part of the Buffalo, didn’t mean they used every part of every Buffalo. Chopped down so many trees it made a little ice age. When exposed to market pressures they nearly hunted the beaver (in the North) and the deer (in the South) to extinction in their quest for fire water.

I have a theory that the Whites arrival actually saved Americas wilderness. Having invented agriculture, the Indians would have grown into the maximum carrying capacity of the land, it’d look like Europe or China or India. Whites arrived just before they escaped the Malthusian trap, population slowing down. Left to their own devices I think the Indians would have wound up building a huge densely populated hydraulic empire on the Mississippi that would be like a second China.

Japan was defeated before Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The entire idea we needed to land marines on the shores of Japan was bullshit. We had them defeated at the Pacific. They'd been driven from Mainland Asia and were stuck on their little islands. We could have fire bombed them with impunity and forced a surrender.

Instead we decided to show the world how big our penis was and nuked two cities even though it was less effective than our other strategies at the time. The bombs were scary and they were done somewhere the Russians would see them.

We were brought into the war on the backs of a psyop and we exited a war on a psyop.

I always thought the Soviets steamrolling Manchuria and the threat of Soviet invasion of the island was what pushed Japan to surrender

It was. Japan was fully prepared to fight USA even after they got nuked
At the least the military was but they'd long since chosen to go out fighting. The other arms of the government weren't as fanatical and faced with the possibility of more nukes and a very real chance that part of their homeland will be made a playground for soviets they chose capitulation to the US. Don't really blame them.

The government also was wiling to fight. Japan was faced with a choice, total capitulation with high risk of losing everything, or fight on, destroy US landing forces and make US public force the gov to try for peace. Unfortunately, Japanese plan heavily relied on Soviets not getting involved, and afterward there was no chance of victory.

I had heard that the Japanese Citizenry was suddenly keenly aware their God Emperor couldn't stop firebombs from being dropped on Tokyo and were getting defiant. I imagine they would have surrendered as they had no resources to keep them afloat, were surrounded by enemies on all side, and had no real other options other than to hold onto for pride. The same argument we used to justify nuking Japan would have been valid on North Korea yet for some incredible reason we didn't feel the need to do so. In fact we just left them alone for the better part of a century while they because the world's largest landfill.

The reason? We've already shown the world what nukes look like. We have no reason to do it again.

German Philosophy is literally a result of them all having mommy issues and not being able to understand Augustine or Aquinas (both overcame their mother issues and one was a weeb or Chinese weeb).

Couldn't it just be both?

This is a VERY unpopular theory and I know most people don't think this is the case (for what I assume are good reasons) and I'm not even sure I "believe" it, but I kind of suspect Hellen Keller was lead around by the nose by her communist nurse, taught a lot of insane socialist shit to parrot or outright puppeteered at times. This theory got a lot of backlash when people first started speculating but it just makes so much sense. I tend to believe the things that just "fit" or seem a lot more likely than a miracle, yknow?

It was Anne Sullivan, all of it. Hellen Keller was last century's Greta Thunberg.
Rich people don't like it when their kid is a retard so they forced the meme that she was a 180IQ giga-stacy.
I got in trouble a lot in grade school over the HQ. I personally believe Hellen Keller to be a litmus test to see if one is able to be brainwashed.

I really just feel like that is probably what happened :[

I am no feminist and I have pretty much always been a commie hating patriotic type since I was young but I really did like her story. Thinking about what I would personally do, or feel, or how I would react if I was in complete darkness with zero feedback other than touch. It always astonished me that she was able to come to grips with her world and even THE world. It always felt a little too good to be true even if I brushed those feelings off when I was younger I always had them. I just have such a hard time believing it anymore.

The idea that Patrice Lumumba is Congo's Che and would have made the country prosper if he was not killed by CIA niggers is stupid.

Weirdly enough it's the most common narrative.

Simply put, Lumumba was not pragmatic enough and did the have the quality of a good African leader.

He had a short reign as prime minister and people only remember the ideology and forget the rest.

With him in power, the country was sent in a civil war he could not control.

Finally there's 0 proof the CIA killed him. They planned to poison him but did not go further.

They could not even reach him if they wanted since he was in house arrest.

Hirohito himself blamed the bombs. Unless someone can produce some testimony from Japanese leadership (it must exist, but I never see it in these arguments), it seems silly to me to argue with the God-Emperor about his own thought processes.
>asks for evidence for someone’s claim
>doesn’t provide evidence for his own claim
In regards to what you said, the emperor did mention the bomb but focused mainly on the fact that alternative plans (i.e. preparing to repel the allied invasion) were not going to plan and any mistakes with those plans in his worlds, “[could] not be rectified”.

In his speech the time devoted to nukes is minuscule compared to anything else.

McCarthy did nothing wrong. Brits did everything wrong, they shouldve rounded up all the communists and punks to burn them on the street corners. Nietzsche is better than Rand, War in the middle east was unnecessary. Cops and the govt should have beat and jailed the Occupy Wall Streeters. Gamergate didnt go far enough, people shouldve targeted and fucked with social media platforms in general to maintain control of the internet.
