It can get hot enough to catch wooden fencing on fire, and the older and dryer it is the shorter the time of exposure has to be for ignition. Given how young the lumber is there is a good chance it would probably take more than a few hours at nearly full blast to cause it to ignite.
As far as "melting" in the same way as siding, that isn't possible with wood due to its fundamental chemical nature. Even if exposed to a sudden, very short but extremely intense burst of incredibly high heat, it won't melt. Wood in that situation would undergo instantaneous pyrolysis. If the intensity of the heat is significant you essentially get instant charcoal. If the heat is even greater, truly a fantastic intensity, then you get nothing but essentially black carbon because all the other reactive chemicals have either reacted with the environment or been destroyed. There is also a decent chance the piece of wood will explode in a rather dramatic fashion, sending shrapnel in all directions, since all the liquids that can convert to gas will instantly do so, including a substantial amount of water turning to vapor, which has a much larger volume than liquid water, and would force the other material near it apart as it suddenly expanded.
Now everyone can scratch that off as their chemistry lesson for the day!

That’s a possibility, but it will fail like everything else like this Fat tries.
There is already an archive of a tweet with someone pointing out his barbecue is too close to the fence and he responded to it.
100% a claims investigator will find this tweet and use the fact that he was aware of the potential for fire, yet chose to ignore it, to deny his claim.
I hope he does do this, but no one gets hurt.
It would be insanely funny to know that Fatrick made himself homeless on top of being broke through his own stupidity and stubbornness.
If Niki hasn’t left him already at that point, I am sure that will be the absolute final straw.
