"Make sure that your home has fat friendly seating."

The entitlement on display here is astounding. My home is my personal space, not yours. I don't have to buy chairs for anyone who isn't me. It's not my problem that you can't fit in a regular sized chair. Fuck off.
What happens when they come to your house and break something? I know someone who pulverized a futon, you can't use Ikea or normal furniture at bmis that high! Clearly that would be your fatphobia and not their job to cover it, how dare you not spend a few extra thousand on that couch rated for a literal ton.

At that point I'd probably declare them persona non grata until they paid up for the furniture broken or tell them to sit on the floor. Then again they'd probably bitch about being told to sit on the floor, so exile it is.

Well thankfully my furniture is protected by my very fatphobic staircase.
It's just the audacity of telling other people how the things in their house need to suit you. What bills do you pay to be telling me what kind of chairs I should have inmmy house?

Let’s not forget about the little girl with most likely Prader Willi syndrome who was labeled a monster (Eugenia Martinez Vallejo) in the 1600s. Super fat people were always seen as a spectacle. Paul Reubens wasn’t that far off time wise from when Eugenia lived, and he painted morbidly obese people. Not to make a statement that fat people could be pretty, but to show off gluttony. Which brings us back to what I said: fat people were shown off and seen as freaks.

He wasn't showing off gluttony though, that really was what he considered an attractive female form. The two women in the painting are supposed to be beautiful and desirable. But the women in the painting are also not morbidly obese, they just have a bit of extra padding. Same with his other female nudes.

The other thing is: Rubens was a bit of a weirdo. He was big into anatomy (normal), fixated on the differences between male and female bodies (not abnormal, although modern fat activists would probably find it p r o b l e m a t i c) and he thought that the ideal female beauty should resemble a horse (not normal).

(Also, sorry to be that guy, but it's Peter Paul Rubens. Paul Reubens is the actor who plays Pee Wee Herman.)

I'm apartment hunting right now and after viewing that tiktok I've decided to narrow my search to fifth floor walkups. :story:

I mean there's being fat because you can't stop eating and then there's being supersized because you're jacked. And yes Julius might be carrying some extra weight but I'd wager he's a hell of a lot healthier than any of the deathfats in this thread.

Not necessarily. I mean, in the immediate term? Yes, he's absolutely healthier because he's paying attention to nutrition (couldn't be as strong as he is without it, no matter what his body composition is like) and is engaging in exercise and is carrying a great deal of muscle to counteract the adipose tissue but ultimately strongmen who are fat have the same health problems as anyone else who is obese. The difference is they tend to die suddenly relatively young (50+) of heart attacks and strokes, and of course the issues are compounded by the use of performance enhancing drugs, though it's a real issue even for entirely natural athletes. This is the ultimate "gotcha" for people who claim that their high BMI is healthy because they're "naturally muscular". It's still obesity, no mater how you slice it, though obviously strength athletes tend to have a much better quality of life (while they're alive) than people who eat themselves to immobility.

I'm all for treating people who are obese, due to their genetics or for things truly outside of their control, with respect. It's not their fault.
Every fat bitch of every background in America has a sob story about their fat genetics. Unless you are unable to feed yourself and your caretaker is pumping corn syrup into your feeding tube, it's your fault.

Reminds me of a Louie Anderson bit. He makes fun of the fact he's fat and one of his things was saying have you ever noticed that when you go to somebody's home and they always try to sit you in chair that will support you? "Oh here try this chair, it's reinforced with concrete. So just do what I do, see the looks of horror in their faces when I head straight for the wicker."

Not everybody is going to have furniture there just in case some fat asshole with entitlement issues shows up. Although I'll say right now while I know some fat fucks in my life they know they're fat and will have the decency to apologize if the chair they were sitting on broke because of their weight.

Yeah but I want talking right now. Right now he's healthier but twenty years from now he isn't. It's the same for any Sumo wrestler out there. The successful ones, namely the ones who make it to Yokozuna and have the money and the connections, wind up opening their own Sumo stable and training the next generation. But they all lose the weight because you can't maintain that kind of weight forever. However at their peak these guys are much healthier than Jordan or anybody else we make fun of in this thread. And I'd say they're healthier than 99% of the people that post in this thread because they're professional athletes who train every single day for hours at a time.

I don't recall how far back it was but she did mention a dietician (perhaps her therapist?) who was trying to get her to eat regular meals at reasonably set times.[...] I think they were still in the infancy stages of trying to just getting her to eat like a normal person (as opposed to mindlessly eating whenever the urge strikes) and hadn't tried to get her to change what or how much she was eating yet given how resistant she was. It's like she has a deeply ingrained resistance to doing anything that might actually help curb the binge eating.
Long ago, Chantal managed to get in with an eating disorder specialist, who told her to stop eating in her car, and establish set mealtimes. And of course she was back to in-car mukbangs in no time flat, with all kinds of stupid excuses.

The same thing happened in Chantal's case as with Tammy, because neither of them wants to give up eating whatever they want, whenever they want it. However much they hate being deathfats, neither of them wants to alter the thinking or behaviors that have led them to become deathfats, and thus they will sabotage any efforts to help them.

Imagine how humiliating it would be to have a friend call a restaurant because you might be too fat to even sit at a table.
As far as I'm concerned, that's not my fucking job. In the unlikely event I'm going to go out to eat with a deathfat, I'm going to let them google or call around to find deathfat-friendly restaurants, if they need that so badly.

I saw, "make sure that your home has fat friendly seating," and immediately thought, "just don't make friends with deathfats, so you don't have to worry about this in the first place."

Besides, any deathfat in my house would also have serious trouble with my tiny bathrooms with narrow doorways, built for normal-sized 1960s people. I'd have to send them out to the woods, with a roll of TP and the assurance that there are no bears out there shitting alongside them.

@Falcon Sebben I'm sorry but the quote button isn't working for me at the moment. Re: elite athletes being healthier than the majority of people posting in this thread, that isn't necessarily the case if you're drawing the distinction between professional athletes and fit, active amateurs. Beyond a certain baseline of fitness it's very much a case of diminishing health returns, and working hard enough to be elite at any sport is way beyond the cut off for reaping all the cardiovascular etc. benefits while it potentially carries additional risks. Unfortunately I can't seem to get at the actual journal articles I wanted to cite, but here's a popular piece that conveys the point. (PL: I run distance, and actually may be harming myself long term though I'm by no means elite. TL: DR The science is still evolving, but the concensus so far is that engaging in a base level of fitness is the sweet spot for obtaining maximal health benefits while still engaging in a regular life.)

Josh changed the way we reply to long posts. His post talking about it is currently featured. In summary for the future when the feature falls off the front page: if a post has white reply/quote buttons it's too long to be quoted. This has been a problem with xenforo for ages, it's just that now the posts that can't be replied to in total basically say as much.

You can still, however, select part of the post which will popup an option to quote or reply as usual.

Thank you! "Quote" instead of "Reply" it is.

Bitch, why don't you have a fucking garbage in your bathroom wtf nasty. Or literally just throw it out, heaven forbid you walk to ... the kitchen I guess? She makes it sound like she only has one garbage in her home, which is nuts. But she also sounds like her home is full of garbage lying around.

As an ADHDer, I was like, "Why don't you have a trash can in your bathroom, ya dingus?", even if it's just a small one. If you're having trouble doing basic shit like putting garbage in its proper receptacle if there isn't one immediately at hand (which, tbh, is common in people with ADHD), then the solution is to have more trash cans available, in appropriate sizes, in all the places where you are most likely to need them.

So instead, she's going to have a nasty, germy "floss pot" inhabiting the same space in her bathroom drawer as her dental hygiene items? Oh, yeah, that makes loads of sense.
