Wu: I want to tell a story. I get a lot of email from women that are in trouble. There is a story I got from someone <working on Oculus? Missed this.>. A frequent harasser is happily employed by another person. These people are freely employed in our society and there is no blowback for that. I cannot stress enough how the system protects this kind of behavior.

Twitter has a lot of problems. TWITTER HAS A LOT OF PROBLEMS.
I wish the press would appreciate just how hard Twitter is working on these problems. They have updated their hiring pipeline. Before all this happened, Twitter did not really understand the issues of transwomen, and the policies of deadnaming.
At my own studio, at the begging of Gamergate, their odds of successfully suspending an ccount that was harassing us is 5%. Now it is 20-30%.
What we don't talk about enough is Reddit!!!
I cannot say this clearly enough. Reddit is failing women in every marginalized community spectacularly.
I'm trying to back-channel with reddit about something that should very clearly not be on the Internet and they don't want to hear it.
