There’s so, so muchto unpack here. Chronically unemployed HSTSs, failed relationships, dating while still legally married to his trans widow, self-diagnosed autism and disabling IBS (lol), mental illness on multiple fronts, and an especially hilarious 3 day inpatient psych hold due to 2020 election (orange mad bad and clearly coming to murder this poor NEET troon personally

I just want to add that IBS is, by far, the mildest tummy hurty disease someone could possibly be diagnosed with. It's basically the medical term for 'we agree you have some mild digestive problem, but we don't know why'. If it were truly debilitating, then he'd have been 'upgraded' to a different diagnosis (IBD, crohn's, colitis, celiac, etc). It's very common for someone to start out with an IBS/IBD diagnosis that changes after testing. Severity of inflammation can be easily measured by blood tests and endoscopy.
(Gut inflammation diseases are weird, they're diagnosed by location of inflammation and the severity.)

Let this be a lesson to her. (Most) Parents love their children unconditionally, but they're still human beings with boundaries. This girl is old enough to know that her mother is her own fucking person, not just her mother. She hurt her mom's feelings and crossed the line, and her mom has every right to step away momentarily. The best thing she can do is give her mom some space and offer her a heartfelt apology when she's ready to come home.
