Larry David's Opera Cape dijo:You have to be either wealthy, top 1%centile intelligent and persistent, or fucked up to the point of being studied in an institute to break beyond this tier of "professionals" unless you just happen to luck out and get a good one.
Yep. It's so hard to find good therapists. I could powerlevel for ages on my experiences, but I won't.
I have a love/hate relationship with therapists. Most of them aren't worth the copay. I have had much better results with my psychiatrist, but they don't do therapy. There's not enough of them and they don't have the time, partly because there's not enough of them to be able to spend hours and hours of time with one person.
It's no wonder these people are falling through the cracks. The cracks are about the size of the Grand Canyon! It's hard enough for someone with an actual mental illness who wants help to find an MD able to help them. We're talking months just to get an initial appointment, during which you might spend half an hour talking to the doctor before being given a few prescriptions.
The answer still is mental health professionals, but the problem of finding a good one is so difficult. I don't know how to fix that problem, let alone how to get people who need the help to the people who can help them.
So in the meantime we have people like Dr Rumer carving up these people and mutilating them, ruining their lives. But we're the Nazis for saying none of this is okay.
