It's really noticeable to me that a lot of these troons fetishize the act of "learning" and "teaching", by which they mean gossiping with each other online. They also make a big deal of this academic "work" they are doing, which is inevitably just doing the same sort of tired, "woke" cinema sins style analysis of whatever the latest pop culture item is. It's literally putting forth the idea of media consumption as some sort of brave or revolutionary act. I am so fucking tired of this type of person. They all act like their "scholarship" is such a risky thing to do, they fetishize the idea of the dangerous scholar, even as their continued ability to produce garbage proves that no one cares about what they are writing. It's just so try hard and pathetic.
