Exactly, and that's the dumbest part of it all. They are simultaneously making the argument that male and female are actually meaningless terms, but also that the self-identity of these terms is so important that it drives people to suicide if they classed into the arbitrary, functionally meaningless, category. They'll also add on the claim that the social segregation between the arbitrary and meaningless categories of man and women should still be maintained, because they need protection from men. I know a few of them will actually dance up to the line of claiming to want total desegregation, but for the most part, troons will maintain the idea that there is some sort of social meaning to womanhood totally divorced from any sort of biological factors. It leads to the question though, of what exactly makes cis men so dangerous to troons that they need a space away from them? Must just be the inherent evil of identifying as cis.

When it comes to trannies playing in women's sports, there is an actual thoughtful justification for why that should be allowed. Basically, for a man that thinks he's a woman, it would be harmful to him to force him to play with men, because you're telling him "no, you're actually a man." So instead, we should let these guys play with the women to humor him and make it so he doesn't harm himself.
Now, that's a very stupid reason. BUT, it's actually way better than the current zeitgeist from the left, which is that actually we should let them play with women because they are women. I could understand if the left was pushing the former over the latter. It shows compassion, which was typically associated with the left. But what we have now is a braindead retarded anti-scientific position that falls apart instantly, but they cannot help themselves. Because if they were to actually cede the argument that "trans women are just men who think they're women," their entire worldview collapses. Even though every single of them actually believes this. The entire ideology is built on phony lies that none of them believe

We talk about not dating trannies exactly because you go out of your way to tell everyone how rejecting trannies for being trannies is evil and how everyone needs to see you as potential partners. Nobody would bother with "genital preference" if it was okey to just reject trannies without drama. It's semi polite excuse to avoid you and drama.
Also getting categorically rejected is normal and something all people deal with. Some less than others but nobody is immune. Too old, to short, tiny boobs, low hanging boobs, bad skin, fat, has kids, political opinion and so on. Everyone has or will have a feature that makes them lesser on the dating market and they do hear how that's a no go. Most people don't care that much, they just go and find at least one person who is cool with it.

Keira Knightly might be skinny and have no tits but her face is iconic. I put her up there with Natalie Dormer and Katherine Zeta Jones, and those two DO have curves. Dormer's face is a muse of mine; I love basing OCs off of her. She's got such a unique, sharp beauty. And she is still different from men.
Matt Smith, a former Doctor Who, also has a strong jaw. He's not conventionally attractive but he has his own unique attraction. He has a boxy face to boot, but he's still male. There are so many variations of male and female appearances - and not just among white people, there are racial differences too (see Li Bingbing and Gong Li) - that when troons say they are 'undoubtedly' female, the first thing I want to do is look at their faces. And nearly all of them have necks like giraffes, faces like horses, or are fat. The ones who have a Chad physique all age horribly on estrogen. They look fucked up.
And you're right, it isn't JUST genitalia. It's their essence, physical and biological, of them being male or female. Forcing people to like you - and we saw this with the Superstraight thing and how they denied they were forcing ANYONE to like them - only turns them off harder.

The key thing with this guy and why he freaks me out even more than the globular heifer troons, the thin-lip grease hair troons, the anime kneesock gamer troons, the autie 5head teen troons. the middle aged saggy man turkey neck troons etc is that this guy is keeping that shiny bald male head of his on full show in a deliberate action to disconcert people.
It’s similar to the beard troons; a way of shocking people, grabbing attention and importantly, reminding women that yes, he still could do whatever he wants to you. He’s still thoroughly male. He *could* blend in with a wig, but oh no honey, making people awkward is just so much more gratifying.

One of them asked how we would feel if everyone kept saying "I don't want to have sex with someone like you"? It makes us sad, but most of us don't dwell on it and make it a cornerstone of our personality. I mean, when it comes to someone telling you they are a tranny you're naturally put off to them. You don't go thinking about "this is another person" you are naturally disgusted and mistrustful of them because they are constantly lying to themselves about reality to the point they indulge into a delusion and mutilating their own bodies. Much like you knowing someone that sawed off their own arm and telling you how happy they are about it.
And on top of all of that, you gotta remember that they are most likely a degenerate sex weirdo that was sexually abused in the past and has a lot of baggage and might potentially be abusive towards you. Here we know it but people that haven't been exposed to trannies enough will be in the dark about the psychology of the troon. But for most, their initial disgusted reaction to trannies will be enough.
Also, it's laughable when they say "it's bad when people essentially tell you you're unfuckable". All people are unfuckable as well because others have preferences. Like you say there are a million different reasons someone will not allow you to get in their pants, but trannies make it one of the core of their problems just because they think it would be the maximum expression of their gender. Not any of the other characteristics, but to have sex as the opposite sex.
Thankfully, people still aren't into genderblobs with mangled bodies, so they will seethe even more about it.
There are many ways you can tell apart a woman from a man just by looking at their bodies. It's not arbitrary like trannies say, there are many key differences that when you look, you will start to notice. But the most important is the face. Like you say, it's the essence of the person. You look at someone in the face and you will know. Unlike trannies like to do and put pictures of women to go for low hanging TERFs, most people will be able to tell a woman from a man no matter how sharp her features are.
