The first one- the other poster may be right that it's fujoshi fantasy, there's plenty of that around. But if it's real, doing math- they've been together since the middle of high school. Probably haven't had a serious relationship with anyone else. I don't think this guy is gay. Im only newly aware of the absolute degeneracy and it seems like every MtF Ive known is a predator in waiting and every FtM is at minimum a victim of sexual assault and at worst simply mentally ill and deluded or coerced when it all boils down.

By this metric sci-fi and fantasy as genres cannot exist. Both of those genres are explicitly about writing experiences you haven't had. Historical fiction is problematic too, because you didn’t live in the Victorian Era so you cannot be accurate.

I know she says issues stories, but the line between "issues" and "fiction in general" is very thin.

Wokeness has no place in the more fantastical genres. I have no problem with diverse skin tones, unless it's a period piece. Netflix just came out with an adaptation of Persuasion by Jane Austen. It's wonderful, except there are niggers and Asian folks everywhere. There's an interracial marriage, in England in the 1800s, which I doubt would be a thing. Even if the black family was somehow rich, like they were in the movie. [Edit: looked it up and it's possible to have had an interracial marriage in Austen's time, depending on local culture] It's very obviously diverse just for the sake of being diverse. Feels bad man.

Homosexual relationships in fantasy is less cringe than tranny shit. There's one author who does gender non-conforming well, where it doesn't feel unnatural and shoehorned in.

Anyway, it sucks that everything has to be woke these days. It really is ruining my favorite genres.

I wish Baen books were more topically diverse than they are, or at least around ten years ago when I last cared. Or did they get pozzed too? I wouldn't be surprised with all the troops-turned-troons that it'd be an outfit perfectly okay with some sort of trans fantasy epic.

Emily is just a basic ass bitch from Maryland. She seems to just jump from university to university, but aside of Goddard, a low residency cash cow program, she might have made the rest up. "Lev" on the other hand has stuck with one tag and not given up her real name. She says she's from by San Francisco originally. She uses that fact to just a story about Japanese in San Francisco (naughty, naughty, bitch, you aren't Japanese), so who knows if it's true.
