I am happy to announce that we have reaped enough salt to cover the shortages we had due to the war and covid.
Thank you Justice Alito!

They already tried that and failed - and even if they'd succeeded, any law they passed would be overturned by this ruling. What issue can they campaign on? Democrats already control Congress and the White House. They could pass a law tomorrow.
I fucking you niggers blaming 'Muh, Muh, covid' for actions done by tyrannical politicians.I am happy to announce that we have reaped enough salt to cover the shortages we had due to the war and the government.
Thank you Justice Alito!
Exactly this. They can't pass anything remotely controversial through Congress right now and even if they could, it would be nearly impossible to write something that would circumvent this decision. Manchin wants to be re-elected and knows that if he torpedoes the filibuster he loses the seat. They already tried that and failed - and even if they'd succeeded, any law they passed would be overturned by this ruling.
Anyway, you and I may know that there's no practical way of overturning this decision short of the Democrats maintaining control of the Senate after the mid-terms, then hoping that that one of Alito or Thomas either croaks or is forced to retire before 2024, allowing the appointment of a justice who'll eventually help pass Roe v. Wade 2.0. But political campaigns in this day and age aren't based on anything as gauche as practical solutions to issues, they're all about demonizing the other side and scoring as many points as possible.
100% this was pre-planned to get people invested in the primaries after Biden's lackluster half term. The question whether that was a 5d chess made by the Dems to dangle a prize in front of retarded Conservatives or """Conservatives""" willing to never let their party win as long as Trump is alive. Probably the latter.
It's amazing how it's like we're dealing with the same topics of 40 years ago. "Don't say gay", Race Relations and now abortion. But like every modern nostalgia fad it's twisted to be a mockery of itself. "Don't say gay" is how teachers have rights to molest kids, race relations is how niggers have the right to kill you and rob a store, abortion is how we should allow infant killing after the first trimester.
But with the focus on abortion it's specifically hypocritical - "my body my choice" is only correct until the government pretty much forces you to take a barely tested vaccine with lethal side affects to keep your job.
Some claimed it's not only about Biden's lackluster half term but also with the timing of the release of the documentary "2000 mules".100% this was pre-planned to get people invested in the primaries after Biden's lackluster half term. The movie ‘2000 Mules’ is set for its theater release today in over 200 theaters across the country.
In the film, Dinesh D’Souza and True the Vote provide answers and evidence of the stolen 2020 Election in this documentary released on Tuesday at select theaters across the nation.
Here is a list of theaters where you can see the movie tonight if there are still seats available....
...Democrats were silent. What were they going to do?
Now we know. On Monday night, the day before “2000 Mules” is released at theaters across the country, a likely Democrat activist leaked the alleged Supreme Court ruling on the upcoming Roe v Wade decision. And, just like that, the entire focus of the fake news mainstream media has flipped to the Supreme Court and abortion ‘rights.’
The feeling of having Dinesh D'Souza throw his weight behind your cause is probably like how Jimbo felt in that South Park episode where the KKK showed up to support keeping the town's flag the same. Some claimed it's not only about Biden's lackluster half term but also with the timing of the release of the documentary "2000 mules".

The Timing Was Intentional: Roe v Wade Leak Was Left's Answer to "2000 Mules" Documentary Release Today that Proves 2020 Election Was Stolen

that's what it comes down to at the end of the day. for women who have been raised on feminism for multiple generations now, this idea is anathema.Literally just don't be a whore and only fuck a man if you want to stay with him.
To be honest, most of them never thought Roe v. Wade would get overturned. It's a very old (at this point anyway) precedent and a ton of case law comes from it. Depending on the final ruling wrt Roe, we could see a ton of other precedents like Griswold (same sex marriage) and Lawrence (gay sex) get thrown out or effectively neutered.Legit question from a non-American, if the Democrats care so much about abortion, why didn't they draft a law explicitly legalizing abortion sometime when they controlled both congress and the presidency? I don't understand why this was left up to someone making a creative interpretation of the constitution in the first place.
I don't think unrestricted abortion is a winner of a campaign promise beyond riling up the base. consider:Things still don't look good for the Democrats, but at least they've now got a clear issue to campaign on in the mid-terms rather than just vague anti-Trump scaremongering. The Republicans, meanwhile, need to figure out how to incorporate this properly into their messaging, bearing in mind that accusing women who want abortion access of being baby-murdering sluts is the kind of thing that generally tends not to go down well in a political campaign.
Yeah, I think the way this will play out politically is going to depend heavily on the retardation on both sides. If the pro-choice crowd leans in on the 'MUH BODY MUH RULES NO EXCEPTIONS KILL THE BABIES NOW FOR THE UPDOOTS", then they're going to get slaughtered. If the republican legislatures in red states try to push for something along the lines of, "Well I'm sorry little Sarah but we can't do anything about the 10 week-old rapebaby your father put in you because of muh sanctity of life" then they're going to get slaughtered.I don't think unrestricted abortion is a winner of a campaign promise beyond riling up the base. consider:

despite all media messaging and roe v wade being the law of the land for a generation, polls are basically frozen since the 70s and "legal under any circumstance" is the minority. compare this to gay marriage which saw an actual reversal since getting legalized. if people are asked about late term specifically 81% of americans think it should be illegal.

republicans will prob hammer opponents to talk specifically about the parts that make ordinary people queasy.
Don't they lump Hispanics in with Caucasians? lol
