Folks, internalize that it's possible for people to make fun of you and/or pity you without wanting to kill you. Making up stories about genocide only harms your community, it doesn't help anyone. In reality trans people are one of the *safest* demographics nearly everywhere, both in the west and in countries where gay people are forced to transition because homosexuality is illegal. If you're not a Brazilian prostitute, you have little to fear.

Abusing your (hypothetical I hope) kids because you convinced yourself that fat blue-haired middle school teachers are somehow beguiling enough to groom them into being trans is beyond retarded.
If you have kids you let them be gender non-conforming in peace and you tell them that maybe some people think that make them something else, but those people are dumb and/or misguided. "It's like their dumb religion, you don't have to believe or participate"
Problem solved.
Wherever you are, no matter the time period and country, there is always gonna be a certain amount of craziness that a lot of people subscribe to. Both you and your future kids will need to learn to navigate an imperfect and sometimes insane society, and still socialize and strive.
