I like his videos on fandom scandals, but he only did a few and then stopped. It's kind of difficult to critique Tumblr discourse when you're in a full-on kitty costume, sorry.
And I remember hearing bad things about puberty blockers 15-20 years ago. Because the few girls who were on them for early puberty did not do well on them, and everyone knew they sucked, but at best you were on them for 1-2 years until you turned 12 or 13. So if this was common knowledge that long ago, where did all the knowledge go?

I wish I'd grabbed this response to JKR's original tweet. It was some tranny bleating about how AKTUALLY trannies had it worse as far as being bombarded with death threats went, as for proof he posted two screenshots of KF posts, one saying "I wouldn't even rape [this tranny]" and the other one saying something similar. The third screenshot was a Twitter DM that just read "tranny" - gross, but not a death threat.
I'm thinking if you have to go looking for death threats (and saying "I wouldn't even rape them" is just calling them fugly) then you aren't "constantly receiving" death threats. Because if you don't search them out, you don't know about them. So using KF screenshots as proof that you're so abused is just lol.
But Rowling deleted her tweet and I didn't grab the tweet before she did. I don't even know who it was. It wasn't a well known tranny. I didn't recognize the name, but I don't do the rat kings much. It's possible that the comments were made years ago in an inactive thread or even in this thread.

If there is any aspect of the trans movement that really upsets me is the blatant hypocriscy of the whole lobby. I know woke types often love to give "oppressed" people passes for poor behaviour but troons seem to go far and beyond. A lot of trans people have this hypocritical belief of "rules for thee, but not for me" that just furthers their appalling self-entitlement.
There are tons of organizitons that are trans-only and focus on trans-related issues yet when LGBs and women try to form their own circles with their own interests, trannies try to infiltrate and hijack their organizations. When troons don't get their way, their allies can emotionally blackmail their critics by threatening suicide and making them out to be the most "oppressed" victims out there.. If they fail to do so, the most loud and obnoxious voices have a meltdown and shut them down because it isn't "inclusive".
"Cis" people aren't allowed to talk about issues relating to transgender people but MTFs are totally permitted to speak above womens' experiences and shut down any woman who tries to tell them otherwise is a "uppity TERF bitch". T4T is completely acceptable and trannies can date whoever the hell they want but when a gay man/lesbian decides they only want to be with someone of the same sex, hordes of these activists invade their spaces and harass them to "unlearn" their "genital" preferences. Also, they're totally permitted to sexually assault and deceive people they're sleeping with.
I get being kind to everyone and treating them with respect but why is this particular group allowed to piss on other groups and create havoc for them? It is infuriatingly selfish.

Yet troons can get away with saying 'die TERF' and physically attack women like they did during the Wi Spa protests where one woman got sliced across the arm by an ANTIFA member (which they denied; they said a right winger did it). Troon 'models' attack 60 year old women and get released from prison because it's their right to fight against TERFs and FGM survivors are told to shut up and die as we saw with the WPUK protests by the largest collection of white people since a NSDAP meeting.
They regularly post that anime meme of the girl holding the gun saying 'Shut the fuck up TERF' yet play the victim when you push back. If you remember Smokinfeds, she did just that and they screamed to the highest heavens that she was promoting violence. All she was doing was responding to them.

The gender contingent is still there. Even in the fandoms I visit there are more and more posts about how a random character is trans or autistic. Sometimes both. There's been an explosion in that ABO shit so you'll see posts on that.I've been on Tumblr for ages (I like landscape photography and capeshit, sue me), and many of us have been in awe of how incredibly pleasant the site has been since the porn ban. There are way more conversations happening instead of immediate shout-downs, fewer people parade around their ridiculous xenogenders, and lifehacks and mental health tip posts actually get built upon instead of everyone jumping on them to shout about how "organizing your office is ableism" or what-the-fuck-ever.
It's still a decidedly liberal site. Posts about environmentalism, UBI, BLM, etc. get the most traction and right-wingers still get shoved into their own little corners. (There is a growing radfem community that drives others up the walls, though. Lol.) And of course there are still idiots who get attention with outrage about Rowling or whatever, because it's social media.
But in comparison to how it was? Turn off people's firehose of coom sources and stop catering to the "sex work is real work!" contingent, and the Tumblr userbase got more sensible, mature, and community-minded pretty much instantly
Tumblr still gets more social interaction than Reddit or Twitter, and you'll see tens of thousands of more notes than you did on the original Reddit/Twitter post. So the politics game is still strong.
There still is ableism shit but it tends to be more political/better argued, even if the arguments are shit. Hell, I saw one that openly called goyim uneducated pieces of shit and, predictably, it was from an SJW Jew.
So. You can't tell a transwoman to date bisexual people, that's wrong. They MUST date lesbians or straight men in order to be validated, rather than those who'd actually love them despite what they have in their pants.
It's not about acceptance but validation.
