Youtube threw another video my way:

It's almost 2 weeks old, and I can't speak for the guy's qualifications or sources, but the general gist of what he's saying is that the Russian army has invested its money and effort into an army that is fundamentally counter to what it needed to do to fight an offensive war in Ukraine, especially the potential speedrun on Kiev of the first few days. The Ukrainian military, however, has invested all of their time, money and effort into creating an army solely focused on defending Ukraine from a Russian invasion, and the disparity of focus in how the two sides have built their armies has brought them much closer to peer status than looking at the numbers in abstract would indicate, which in turn is why Ukraine has been putting up this much of a fight.

Zelensky is a fucking knob.

> HELP US NATO PLZ HELP US
> Okay. Just follow our rules.
>Eh.... No thanks. Just keep giving us money and guns.
>Actually.....wanna help us falseflag our way into helping you?
>Sure what do we need to do?
>We're gonna do a chem attack, blame it on the ruskis and jump right into action.
>

I never said he joined the Russian army. I said the Russian army is hunting him down.
Just like it seems that also the Ukrainian army is after him but for other reasons.
Edit - *from
Ahhh, I misread.
I will keep on watching what Jesper is doing. Seeing as he was a high profil volunteer from Sweden, that he is bailing make it look worse.
from the information I have read, apperntly a training facility near the polish border got rekt with missile attacks from the russians.
https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/wOmKvd/svenske-marcus-vittnesmal-fran-ukraina-total-massaker Swedish paper interview one of those who was down there.

Is there a formal difference in terminology between "I'm the only one flying" and "As long as I stay out of MANPADS range, nothing can hurt me"? I feel like there should be, but I was Army, not Air Force. Stealth I'd file under "nice to have", but not strictly critical if you're supposed to be operating from a position where the enemy is reduced to visual detection. If the F-35s can knock out the AA, then this theoretical tank-buster can come up behind, drop the 30+ warhead clusterfuck, and hopefully be back for round 2 before the enemy can get reinforcements in position.
This is where things get murky because although by definition the US had air supremacy over Serbia in 1999, we still lost a F-16 and a F-117. The problem with ground defenses is that they always get a vote by being able to choose when to hide and when to pop their heads out to take a shot. There's also a gradient of surface to air missiles from the S-400 to the shoulder fired Igla, so staying out of Igla range won't guarantee you won't get hit by something else.
Knocking out AA is harder nowadays. If you hit a S-400 site, there's still Buks, Tors, Pantsirs roaming around. It's extremely hard to reduce the enemy to visual detection when mobile vehicles are equipped with radar and they can turn on and off at will to deny a HARM shot and only engage the juicy targets like hapless A-10s. Although it seems they can't even afford proper tires for the Pantsir and Tor systems.

Wow, I really wish I hadn't watched that. This war needs to fucking end.
One of my doctors is from Russia. Great doctor, great lady. Know she's pretty upset over the war. Today talked with a man from Ukraine I have known for a number of years; his wife used to work for me. They live nearby. He and his family are also upset over the war. They have family members in Ukraine at risk, some who have left the country. The stress and pain was obvious in this gentleman's face.

Just a hard thing to see what these folks, all great people, are going through. See the doctor again in about a month, hope this shit is resolved by then.

The politicians start the wars, the troops fight them, and the people suffer.

this is the shit that actually concerns me: how autistically adamant the ukrainians are about the no fly zone. i was listening to the radio (bbc radio 4 so take with a grain, no a rock, of salt) and they said that the UN may enforce its own no fly zone instead of NATO. I mean i understand that they dont want to get obliterated by the russians, but im not dying for ukraine

There goes the Canadian manlet. Lasted all of 20 minutes. At least now he gets to serve as a warning to all foreign tourists.

Guess he's not such hot shit when his enemy isn't dune coons.

Probably didn't have proper OpSec and was tracked by phone. Or crossed paths with a Russian spy. Or the Russians are lying and he just got hit by artillery/bombs/crossfire. Could be anything. Sightseers disappeared under mysterious circumstances all the time in the Syrian Civil War. This is no different.

The main reason the Ukrainians are able to make a stand is because they know the area. Even then, I'm sure the current casualty rate is horrific because civilians are standing ground instead of disappearing like the VC or Taliban would.

War is hell and Russia isn't fucking around. Whichever side of this you support, Ukraine needs to quit the propaganda for several reasons, this being one of them. It's making foreign volunteers, even veterans, think the war's a cakewalk they can just waltz into. I heard of another interview with a foreign volunteer who outright said he'd been lied to and Ukraine was doing far worse than they let on.
Any retard who wanders off into some completely foreign military adventure without doing way more than mere due diligence is so stupid they deserve whatever they get. I don't see any Hemingways or Orwells coming out of this one though because we are living in Tard World.

And who will they get from the UN to enforce said zone? Assuming NATO wishes to not directly engage the Russians? And where would they stage out of?

With what planes? No non-NATO state that gives half a fuck about Ukraine could patrol the skies for even a few days before running out of money.

>Sending them without equipment
>The ones that get equipment get a mag with 10 bullets at most

Hold up, where's all the fucking equipment NATO was sending? motherfuckers had me thinking they where sending Texas entire GDP worth in M4's and Javelins, where the fuck is all of that going if they ran out of fucking bullets

>Indefinite
This is fucking hilarious these motherfuckers are singing away into slavery for updoots
The Ukraine isn't known for being a corrupt shit hole for nothing, I bet most of that nice tax payer funded kit ends up "falling out the back of a truck" and is being sold for a tidy profit.

So let them. ISIS did wonders for congregating the crazy muslims all within a tiny geographical area to be butchered. If war adventurers want to get themselves killed in Ukraine that's fine. I feel way worse about the Russian soldiers being sent unaware into Ukraine with nearly no support

true but you never know what they might pull- i just hope they stay limited to humanitarian aid, which i think more countries should be focusing on rather than trying to bail out the ukrainian army. i dont know whats going on in your country, but over here there's home sharing programs for refugees now

Can't wait until next year when Iran shows off their totally-not-reverse engineered Javelin missile.

I would laugh my ass off if some of them sold them to Russians only for the Russians to come back and kill them with them
