Putin also conveys the message that the Ukrainian leaders, which he calls “Hitler accomplices” have plans to re-take by force Crimea and Donbas, and at some point will use nuclear weapons. He said:

“They, of course, will climb into the Crimea, and just like in the Donbas, with a war, in order to kill, as punishers from the gangs of Ukrainian nationalists, Hitler’s accomplices, killed defenseless people during the Great Patriotic War. They openly declare that they lay claim to a number of other Russian territories.”

These aren't our words. We simply pointed out there are Nazis in Ukraine. You threw a fit, started denying, deflected, and now you're punching air.
You accused us of justifying war based on a few hundred (or thousand) Nazis. Quote the post in the last few pages that says this.

Are people still arguing about why Russia invaded Ukraine? Still taking the word of Putin's televised addresses?

For fucks sake the essay Putin wrote, which was released in middle of last summer which would have meant planning and preparation for the invasion was already in the works, basically serves as a manifesto titled "Why I invaded Ukraine" in retrospect.

He doesn't think Ukrainians are a seperate people at all from Russians, they are one in the same in his mind. He also calls an independent Ukraine impossible because Ukrainians and Russians are one and the same, which also applies to Belarus, and when Lukashenko kicks the bucket it will definitely get annexed into the Russian Federation, if not sooner.

I don't think this really has a ton to do with Nazis, NATO, Crimea and Donbass. Those are certainly reasons for it happening, but also serves causa belli for the public. He wants to restore Imperial Russia's borders as much as possible. If it really about Crimea and Donbass land based military operations would mostly be limited to that area, instead of the majority of Ukraine like it actually is.
 
Are you faggots still talking about Nazis? They’re irrelevant in the great picture and mostly pawns in a bigger game now (just like every civilian in Ukraine and even Russia).

Not entirely sure how you enforce blocking their access to waterways, without it being war.



A blockade is an act of war. The US put one on Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis but called it a quarantine because of that. Of course it didn't matter cause it was just Cuba and they felt that the Corn Lord Krushev wasn't gonna go to war for that.
 
There was an article by some Russian ex-officer of some sort. He described part of the strategy as "blockading the cities into 'cauldrons' and letting the urbanites 'pickle' in there"

Putin turned Ukraine's globohomo class into a pickle.
In the now infamous Rick and Morty episode where Rick is turned into a pickle he kills a bunch of Russians.

I believe this to be the justification for the war.
