Son of Sam laws have generally been found to be unconstitutional. The current versions on the books that have actually been upheld are not classic "Son of Sam" laws that prohibit someone from profiting about tales of their crimes, generally considered unconstitutional, but offer other relief to crime victims, such as being able to obtain discovery and retrieve funds civilly from perpetrators.

For instance, here's the federal:

18 U.S. Code § 3681 - Order of special forfeiture​

Upon the motion of the United States attorney made at any time after conviction of a defendant for an offense under section 794 of this title or for an offense against the United States resulting in physical harm to an individual, and after notice to any interested party, the court shall, if the court determines that the interest of justice or an order of restitution under this title so requires, order such defendant to forfeit all or any part of proceeds received or to be received by that defendant, or a transferee of that defendant, from a contract relating to a depiction of such crime in a movie, book, newspaper, magazine, radio or television production, or live entertainment of any kind, or an expression of that defendant’s thoughts, opinions, or emotions regarding such crime.
(b)
An order issued under subsection (a) of this section shall require that the person with whom the defendant contracts pay to the Attorney General any proceeds due the defendant under such contract.
(c)
(1)Proceeds paid to the Attorney General under this section shall be retained in escrow in the Crime Victims Fund in the Treasury by the Attorney General for five years after the date of an order under this section, but during that five year period may—
(A)be levied upon to satisfy—
(i)
a money judgment rendered by a United States district court in favor of a victim of an offense for which such defendant has been convicted, or a legal representative of such victim; and
(ii)
a fine imposed by a court of the United States; and
(B)if ordered by the court in the interest of justice, be used to—
(i)
satisfy a money judgment rendered in any court in favor of a victim of any offense for which such defendant has been convicted, or a legal representative of such victim; and
(ii)
pay for legal representation of the defendant in matters arising from the offense for which such defendant has been convicted, but no more than 20 percent of the total proceeds may be so used.
(2)
The court shall direct the disposition of all such proceeds in the possession of the Attorney General at the end of such five years and may require that all or any part of such proceeds be released from escrow and paid into the Crime Victims Fund in the Treasury.
(d)
As used in this section, the term “interested party” includes the defendant and any transferee of proceeds due the defendant under the contract, the person with whom the defendant has contracted, and any person physically harmed as a result of the offense for which the defendant has been convicted.

I believe Arkansas has a specific Son of Sam law but it is only aimed at actual murderers. I may be wrong but I'm not going to bother looking it up. If it would prohibit this fat fuck from making his stupid shirts it's probably unconstitutional.

i fucking HATE how he refers to this shit as his "tragedy". the only tragedy here is him not going to jail. dramatic fatass with his usual tricks.

it's also funny seeing him talk allll this shit about Frank now as if he hasn't been in shambles over him for the past year and a half. but really, boogie shouldn't even be worried about Frank anymore... what he did was nothing. he SHOULD be worried about Winkle pulling up in his truck and actually committing a crime against him.
 
Gross despicable human. He was chomping at the bit to monetize this drama. You put peoples lives at risk including kids. Its not harmless to fire a weapon in the air over a school/residential area. Zero remorse.
 
I can't wait for Boogie to seethe when he barely sells any shirts! Also, I'm not surprised that it was quick this morning, but I am glad that they didn't find an excuse to do another continuance.

Hes certainly pissed about what happened and hes mad about already getting shit about his shirts. Despite the deal being pretty light im sure him having to admit guilt and running himself nearly bankrupt is rubbing him the wrong way. He went on for a long while and wasted a lot of money trying to protect himself from admitting guilt and taking responsibilities from his action. His squandering of money to cope left his wallet light and unable to continue his false narrative and he most likely eventually had to take a deal once he learned he could monetize it. Now he has to live on being a broke felon with a failing youtube channel and being broadly despised online. Hes fucked.

I love how he said he paid for everything but is crying about how expensive it is and the shirts will help and is not desperate. I feel running out of court to launch half assed shirts based on your crime to fund your legal fees is exactly desperation. We havent seen the paid gf or heard about her in awhile, so we know shes not around and that just says the piggy bank is fucking dried up.
 
Stephen sure is in for a rude awakening when he realizes that most people don't give a shit about his plea deal, no matter how elated he is about it. I expect a meltdown after he isn't invited to go on any podcasts.
