I edited my post a bit (only added the paragraph below), but I don't think so. There is a much more accessible source of information these days, and Russians are most likely much less 'patriotic' then they were in the 60s-00s, similar to Americans.

The longer regular Russians suffer, the bigger the uprising will get tbh
