From what I recall, the guy in charge of making sure all the lore connects is always on other people on the dev team and will keep pushing for ideas to make the world more interesting. He pushed them to always have the sky be day time for shadowbringer when you first arrive and how at first it would look nice but after a while, would be ugly to the player from its persistents. So even if she tried to insert her beliefs/agenda, I'd say it always hits the cutting floor and Koji is also one of the people that has to approve what she's done.
Worst case is, we all gotta start learning Japanese boys but besides danger hair showing up on live letters now, wonder how the story will go now. As tachi said, the finale was stretched thin and some parts made me roll my eyes such as the fact we went back in time and the final zone.

I know I'm starting to get jaded with this game because I've become a lot less tolerant of mistakes in expert roulette and usually just leave instead of sticking around for super scuffed runs.
god I can't wait for something other than roulettes and hunts to cap my weekly tomes
EDIT: Case in point, just had to heal a Dead Ends run with a dark knight wearing level 86 vendor gear (when the job gear is free) who couldn't hold aggro during single pulls. I will probably get a temp suspension because I made a comment in chat about the diffculty of healing drks as well as suggesting that the drk in question get his job gear before queuing for level 90 content, and the drk reacted by calling me toxic.

I don't think the DF was this bad in the entire time I've been playing until summer of last year. I had to dig up posts from the ARR era to find people talking about such abysmal behavior being widespread.
The only thing it could possibly be is that there's something fundamentally wrong with the new crop of players reaching endgame lately.

I've said several times already but XIV's playerbase has always been like this and most of you should consider yourselves fortunate that you never encountered such a concentration of entitled crybaby shitters until this late into the game's lifespan.

I'd definitely say it just depends on luck or rather being unlucky cause personally I rarely encounter any shitters. The only recent thing that comes to mind off the top of my head is an expert roulette run where a dps made an arguably rude but obviously jokey comment to the tank and instead of just shrugging it off and continuing the tank immediately halted the entire dungeon run to votekick the dps for harrassment and we had to wait around for another dps.

nah it's boring, runs started slowing down more and more and I ran into more and more annoying people before my hiatus. After a while, "why am I carrying these retards?" is a question you start asking of yourself too much.
Not to mention that you don't get to do any alliance raids other than crystal tower because some afk shitters want to game the system so their candy asses can... can...? I can't even wrap my head around it. You afk so you can get tome gear... so you can afk? Fucking why?

The entitled shitters aren't just in DF. They're in savage too. From what I gather, either the savage tier is the easiest thing ever, or statics break down and it's the hardest thing ever. Having a competent group makes clearing the tier easy? Such a mystery!

Mainly personal taste and her conduct on places like twitter and everywhere else. Milquetoast content creators don't really interest me, but her retweeting stuff like BLM and thinking it's funny that police dispatch is getting spammed with K-POP faggotry rubs me the wrong way. Then she proceeded to castigate January 6th for the same reasons she supported the George Floyd movement and it made me realize she's just a sellout twitch streamer who just wants to make money and keep her inauthentic image as clean as possible. Whether you think her actions I describe are valid and worthwhile are up to you, but I personally dislike people who are fake.

She has, for all intents and purposes, made herself stuck in Ukraine because of her pets. She's trying to leave the country last minute.
She moved temporarily to Lviv which is located very close to the polish border. She was in a car about 2 hours ago trying to leave the city. There's very likely traffic jams everywhere due to generalized panic. I think she'll make it fine.

been playing since december, im halfway done with stormblood and finished heavensward a week ago. im not rushing, just NEET but the game is so goddamn addicting.
i was backreading a bit and i havent seen or experienced anything too shitty or sour fanbase wise, but that's cause i stick to small groups.
the most noteworthy so far is when i witnessed a tank get mad at a healer for not keeping them alive, but that's really it.
