As usual, he’s cocky when he beats players in the beginner ranks.

Once he finds an actual decent player in the same rank he’s currently in, the bitching and salt starts flowing.

Phil’s as predictable as a Jimmy Fallon punchline.

For example, I always search 5 bars+ connection and get matched with 3 bars often.

ahh ok. Makes sense I can't see even "lower rank" would match him with someone who's rank 1...which I guess is possible.

and here comes the salt, it's amazing, he really is in his own reality.

gets hit cause he's crouching and doing a light kick, you clearly see it.

The game is giving him things he's not doing 60ms 1 rollback frame. He's playing basics, jump in kick low light kick, low heavy kick basics that get beat out by blue marry "little hopping" opening him up and doing a 60% combo because that blue marry player is a scrub and a new player who doesn't know what they are doing.

EDIT also punishing a wiff isn't "earning" a combo...

phil, try blocking or rolling or guard canceling or anti-airing...those are good tricks
 
Phil whining about "hop moves" when the only thing a "hop" move is, is a basic jump attack, just at a different height/angle. It adds a whole new level of how to approach/defend when your opponent can hop, and Phil, in his retardation, thinks it's something OP and not a gap in his defense.

Phil, you were never a serious competitor because when you're serious, a win is a win. If your opponent has a weakness, you capitalize on it until they learn, then you look for a new one. If they don't learn fast enough (like you), they'll have their wins and you'll be out of the bracket by the time it's over. Fundamentals don't mean shit if it works, and you have a poor defense, so they don't need fundamentals.

Edit: The salt is starting, sounds like Phil met his level/ceiling already.
 
TIL there's floaty jumps, so like an anime fighter. But I though this was just like SF2. You can mash long super canceled high damage combos and there's high low fundamentals.

1 rollback frame is dropping all his moves. a match going between 32 and 53ms with 1 rollback frame is laggy and sucky connection.

While I know it doesn't make up the most of his funds like it used to, but he's probably stuck in the fact that February is one of the lowest times for CPM. It's probably in the back of his head, and even though non-stream YT views are a small percentage, he wants to squeeze as much as he can.

That, or he moves up a rank, gets bodied, and intentionally de-ranks so he can match up with scrubs. Just like every new shooter and fighting game. It's ironic because he complains about pattern play, but his entire lifestyle is a pattern play.

My prediction is that Keem will put phil on the spot, or catch phil in a lie, and phil will ragequit early on. Better yet, phil will pretend he's not feeling well, or its too much of a hit to his finances.

Remember when during his KoF pigsplanation podcast he said that KoF doesn't have footsies and it's all about jump-in moves? As predicted, I knew he'd get destroyed by people who know how to utilize all versions of KoF's jumps even half-decently. How good your ground game and footsies in KoF are determines how good your defense is, how good your jump-in game is determines how good your offense is. Anyone who claims to be as robust and flavorful and experienced with the series as Phil keeps presenting himself as knows this, then he has the gall to say that the other guys he plays don't have any fundamentals lmao.

When you see this post on the next RTF day heed my advice - stick to Super Turbo.
