Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

They're on absurdly thin ice. A stock market crash plus a major war would probably lead to collapse.

We are not the same people and nation we were during WWII.
A collapse of the Democratic Party sure

That insane 2/3 GOP majority in both chambers keeps getting a little more likely every day. Almost certainly won't happen in the Senate but I wouldn't be surprised if it does in the House

For all the talk of our economy returning to feudalism with lords over peasants, symphonia is a return to controlling the masses with religious propaganda a la feudalism. It's good for the goals of the state, not good for the people as they search for truth in their encounters with the divine. It's theological malpractice. A mind changed against its will disagrees still.
I wasn't saying what the Russians were doing was a good thing. What I ment they found a better why to control their citizens beliefs than the U.S could ever do. Basically better propaganda is what I ment.

Looks like we're getting a BBB after all gentlemen...

A Biden Bear-market Bonanza! Surprise!

Playing the devil's advocate here, but I feel like a 2/3 super majority of the GOPe isn't exactly healthy for America either.

Short term it's not too terrible since they'd get in on a pretty firm mandate and none of the excesses will have set in yet.

Long-term though.... yah.

Going to war with a country that did absolutely nothing to us to protect a backwater shithole that probably should have been part of that country's territory in the first place?

Yeah, fuck that shit.

Comes down to the voter base. As soon as a given political party becomes inconvenient, it really is our job to keep them out. I'm hoping against hope that the failure of the Dems and the previous ineffectiveness of the Republicans lead to some awareness that the people need to act, not the politicians - Its gonna sit a lot on whether the Trumpian populism can operate without Trump. So far the answer looks like a tenative yes, but things change quickly.

Nice.
I have some money in my bank account and I've been waiting to put it in some long term safe shit.
RIP my current investments, though. Thanks Joe, and thank you Mr. Putin.
There is no safe investment at the moment except maybe short term real estate

Gold, silver, crypto, long term quote unquote safe bonds, everything is crashing

Take that money out and put it in your mattress

Please. You invest in shit that the US will bail out no matter what and shit like index funds. Make corporate welfare work for you. If things get so bad that the US can't bail it out, most assets will be worthless anyway. In which case you have better have invested in hard skills, bullets, and/or the ability of your orifices to accept foreign objects.

Index funds rofl nigga you serious :story:

Investing in index funds when the Fed is about to raise interest rates and stop propping up the bond market, when the Fed is going to deliberately start a recession to cool inflation, is incredibly exceptional

Here's a good investment, there actually is one: military-industrial complex

I HATE, HATE, HATE to steal something from Beanie Man, but I have to give credit where it's due because I thought the same thing he did.

Bitcoin, Netflix, and Amazon are, for lack of a better term, "lockdown stocks." With the UK basically saying they are "done" with COVID restrictions, I think these stocks are falling because people are predicting that the end is near for the US and other countries as well. Utilities also make sense because people will start to go outside more.

Or it could be because Netflix sucks, but that wouldn't explain Bitcoin.
Friend, the stock market doesn't give a shit about what happens out here in reality. The explanation is simple, the fed plans to raise interest rates, and the markets (especially the nasdaq) are brimming with parasite companies that exist to suck up near 0 interest debt and have adult children millenials sell "visions". If the free money goes away, the companies go away. Just wait, if the fed pussies out on interest rates you'll see a massive rebound. Our economy is one massive ponzi scheme at this point.
