See wu got into tall of this because she wants to say that her femininity kept her excluded from nerd culture and she's engaged other women in argument along those lines. There is just no going back and playing her trans card at this point. It would be fair to say gamergate invaded her private life but that's after she started throwing stones in glass houses. This isn't the only time she has but admitting it would provide a much clearer example of how she injected herself into this situation in order to build her brand.

It takes a lot of work to explain how this is actually all about zoe quinn and bri just showed up and acted like an ass until she got enough attention to turn into a story. If she admits that she was only a woman for a few years before making a game you can write pages about her harassment but everyone knows if it's proven it belongs in the story and if it's in the story the story is weak. There is no trans shortage in tech and in fact they might be overrepresented and compared to most industries it might be one of the least discriminatory. You're a long way off from seeing many transsexual corporate officers in the auto industry but there are plenty in silicon valley.

It didn't even take her 48 hours to try and inject GamerGate bullshit into the real tragedy of the Paris attacks.

Did she at least have the courtesy to burn her tweet about trying not to politicize this?

Nope. Still there. Could you just once not be a total cunt, Brianna?

In a word: no

Let's see how she's "gotten things done" with regards to Revolution 60:

- Is the game out by the time frame promised on the project's Kickstarter page? No. In fact, she still hasn't provided an update to her backers on the game's status. Her last login date was October 21st so she was at least on Kickstarter some time before her due date and yet didn't feel it was necessary to say anything to her backers.

- Has there at least been progress with Revolution 60's port to Steam? Not really. She has updated her character's outfits, touched up on graphics, and put a new combat system in to replace the touch mechanics, but this is all stuff we've seen from her since early this year. She's essentially made next to no progress on anything for the better part of a year.

- Does she market the game on the platform it's currently available on? Hell no. I actually sometimes forget that Revolution 60 is already out on the iPhone. She never talks about it or directs people to try it on there (which, you may remember, is supposedly the ideal Rev60 experience according to Wu). This game has so little buzz as is and she does nothing to market it.

I get the feeling that, despite the occasional mention of the PC port when there's nothing else of substance (by Wu's metric, that is!) to tweet about, Wu likely thinks she's evolved beyond Rev. 60 and being a games designer, only keeping those things on the furthest back burner if her relevance suitably flags.

Remember, if we view Rev. 60 as the natural outgrowth of Soccon and the comic strip, this is a hobbyhorse Wu's been riding since, what, maybe late high school? One can only guess. Rev. 60 was the pre-GG Wu, and seeing as how one reliable facet of her personality is that she loves to dramatically reinvent herself, it could be that she views Rev. 60 as old hat, something she's saddled with, associated with, but also encumbered by.

No, I think Wu likes to see herself as an activist, something she's transformed into post GG, and she prefers this association (it's certainly much less work, even by her notoriously lazy standards!) for reasons of ease and fame.

And the most galling thing is that Wu is mostly getting away with it, because even Wu knows R60 will bomb so bad it will end his game dev career pretensions for good and he also knows the only ones who will play it are pirates and trolls looking to reverse engineer and parody it, and as long as he spews SJ babble he can ignore his ass patters who give a shit about it at will by screaming harassment to keep them in line.

At this point, Wu is getting away with outright fraud.

Don't forget people buying it just to try out the new Steam refund feature. They might fit in under "trolls," I guess.

This is so off topic but how does someone buy a pair of headphones as a lifestyle item and end up with beatz by dre? I'd like to see people mocking her headphones just so she has to stop wearing them.

If she likes beatz by dre now she should have seen the prototype, sadly he was only giving them out if you asked for it :(. Then again dre might help her, he's helped her kind of people break into industries where they weren't initially welcome.

I need some money. Who wants to tweet a death threat at me as I tuck my junk between my legs? I need that sweet, sweet patreon.

Keep your eyes out for the game I'm currently working on called Insurgency 70, only on Newton.
