Muslims in the UK are mostly South Asian, where there is a traditional third gender for male homosexuals, called hijras, who are more or less tolerated, so Muslim Brits tend to be sort of accepting of trannies (if the end result is "straight"). Once Jammidodger transitioned, the SA family accepted them as a hetero couple.
South Asian Muslims generally tend to think that being a good Muslim is only about how you behave publicly. What you do privately is your own business. So if a man has a wife and children, but likes having sex with other men, that's fine, as long as he keeps it secret, but if he publicly stated he was gay and married a man, that would be very haram.
ETA: That being said, hijras are definitely not considered to be the same as biological females, so legally treating them as such might not go over well with these sorts of traditional South Asian Muslims. However, this mostly effects women participating in the public realm (i.e. sports), or needing protection from predatory males (shelters, jails), and traditional Muslims generally are not that enthusiastic about women's rights, so they probably wouldn't care. The idea that being a good man means protecting women and girls is not really part of South Asian culture.

That's true for the more culturally Muslim ones, but Sunni Islamists hate troons and most Islamists here are South Asian.

Like with everything to do with troons it depends on how seriously you take your religion.

I really don't think that Gavin Hubbard threw, I think he was a legitimately poor athlete that couldn't compete against the world's best female athletes even with his male advantage. If he'd actually been trying to lose in order to "prove" that male athletes on HRT don't have an advantage over women then he wouldn't have chosen such high weights to begin with. He managed to lose a weightlifting competition in the most male way possible, by repeatedly over-estimating the amount of weight that he could handle, but even if he had managed his personal best on the Olympic stage he still wouldn't have won and would have been a distant second (and almost third).

William Thomas, on the other hand, almost certainly threw for the cause. He was actually a good swimmer and was completely demolishing his opponents in the women's competitions and then suddenly that lead just evaporates. Gavin's loss was actually consistent with previous performances, but William's was not.

Late as hell to the featured post about the BBC protest & PLing (obvious the reactions this will get, but I'll face the consequences) but I'm FtM myself, and I'm of the opinion that this "you HAVE to have sex with me even though I'm trans with my birth genitals" mindset is just pure entitled bullshit. Trans people can't be demanding human rights then strip cis people of those rights in return.

I understand a lot of trans people want to be seen as their desired gender identity, like of course I do as well, but it will never be ideal for us and so many just toss realistic expectations out the window in favor of "this is what I want and if I don't get it, the world owes me and cis people are to blame". That is literally one of the worst, if not the worst, types of thinking to have when you're a minority of any sort.

No wonder we're a fucking laughingstock. It's hard not to look at shit posted by the overly vocal, terminally online crowd and think "these people deserve to be treated better than they are right now". Anyone who isn't batshit gets buried alive underneath the trash.

It will not change until people like you stand up and confront the activists and activist organisations that claim to speak for you.
