In the SRS thread there are some pics showing the work of at least one FFS surgeon who apparently thinks “feminization” means “create a button nose and flatten the nose bridge so much that the whole middle of the face looks weird and flat.” Plenty of women do have noses like that, but they occur on an overall face that has size and features to match.

These men could have reasonable results (some of them, anyway) if they just aimed at looking like a woman with strong features, but the style seems to be to try to look like an anime girl, so they end up with weird childish noses on a giant man skull.

Could be, or could just be your brain trying to assimilate the too-wide shoulders and male body with the “feminine” looking face.

Trans “passing” attempts always remind me of that Red Letter Media commentary on James’s Cameron’s Avatar: “you didn’t notice it… but your brain did.” The closer they come to “passing,” the more your brain throws up all these something is off signals that you can’t quite place. Which is why passing is ultimately an asymptote.
